Pros: After taking a chance on another well known brand of ram in order to try to get lower voltage/latency and tighter timing values, I had nothing but issues with constant freezing and locking up on my new build. After racking my head for days trying to work through bios settings, drivers, and other software solutions with no change in results, I swapped in my old G.Skill ram and instantly the problems disappeared! Thanks to NewEgg's awesome customer service, I was able to painlessly return the other brand's problematic memory and instead purchased this.
I couldn't be happier! Works flawlessly, as all G.Skill ram I've ever had! I'll likely never stray from this brand again! +1 for their lifetime warranty too, although I've never had to use it! :D In the end, it was my own fault for trying to go with another brand, but once again, G.Skill saves the day! Your products rock! Keep it up! Customer for life!
Cons: No cons! Very happy with my purchase!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Fast fast fast!!! Love the Core i7 processors!
Cons: Runs a bit hot with water cooling for my taste, and even with the new thermal paste they use between the die and the lid, I'm still hesitant to do any real O/C with this thing. Even so, it already is a beast stock! The old 2.8 i7 I had before was solid and stable at 4.2ghz water cooled for years, so I was hoping to get a bit more out of this after seeing the very impressive results from my last Intel processor. Oh well, still an amazing piece of hardware and I won't hold it against them.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Low profile, low voltage, low latency
Cons: I was pretty excited to try this ram, however, it's been years since I've used Crucial, and now I remember why I switched companies. One (or both) of these sticks was bad and causing me constant freezes, crashes, lockups, etc on my new build. After racking my head for days on this checking everything from hardware to software to drivers, to bios settings. Finally, I decided to try ram from my old system and instantly the problems went away. This will probably be my last time purchasing Crucial. They used to have such solid products back in the day.READ FULL REVIEW
