This review is from: LIAN LI Black Aluminum PC-C50B Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case
Pros: Amazing build quality, and amazing customer service.
This case contains my HTPC, a quad-core FM1, and thanks to the fantastic ventillation, operates at near-room temperature when idle. For a case barely a foot deep, it has a surprising amount of internal space. All the PSU cables can just coil up under the optical bay. The main rail to which all the drive cages mount is strong. When fully assembled, the case seems sturdy enough to take the weight of a big HDTV on top. There's room inside for 3 desktop drives and 3 laptop drives, so if you like 2.5" drives and you happen to have converter brackets, you can run 9 2.5" drives in there :)
My unit came deeply scratched. I informed Lian Li, and was sent a new face plate immediately, for only the price of shipping. Baron (my customer service agent), if you're reading this, I love you.
Cons: The screw heads seem a bit soft. I get the feeling I'll need to buy some of my own in a tougher material.
Other Thoughts: If you want to migrate your existing microATX build to a HTPC case, this is a great choice!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Fractal Design Silent Series R2 FD-FAN-SSR2-140 140mm 140mm Fan
Pros: These fans match my existing fractal case fans perfectly. They provide good airflow even at low speeds, and a ton of air at full speed (just a little noisy then, but I'm running 6 of them). Good product. Buy them.
Cons: Eighteen dollars for a fan is a but nuts, but I wanted a perfect match for the fans that came with my case. Minus one egg.
Other Thoughts: See above, lol. I thought I was pretty thorough.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: 5.25" Dual Bay Mobile Rack for both 2.5" and 3.25" SATA HDD, Plus 2 USB 3.0 Ports
Pros: This product is a great way to cram a bunch of functionality into a 5.25" bay. I used in in a server, and now I can use 2.5" SSDs in the same way we used to treat floppies! It's really nice to be able to shove a 3.5" hard drive in there for cloning/scanning/etc... Oh yeah, plus two USB 3.0 ports.
Cons: For the money, I would like a completely metal face and doors. Minus one egg.
Other Thoughts: See above lol.READ FULL REVIEW
