Lenovo Multimedia Remote Keyboard N5902
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

2 out of 5 eggs Destroys itself in 1 year for not being born with a question mark key 11/18/2013

This review is from: Lenovo Multimedia Remote Keyboard N5902

Pros: Handy(ish)

Cons: No question mark. No comma, either.
In fact, a LOT of keys are missing. If you plan to use this for the internet at all, think real hard about how far you can get with no question mark key.

And if you think you can use this like a 1-handed remote, I've got some bad news. It's so slippery you need 2 hands just to keep from dropping it.

Oh yeah -- it just died today, too. After j-u-s-t around a year, it died.

Other Thoughts: can't wait to see what the future holds for mini-keyboard/mouse technology. Lenovo makes it look like the impossible dream.

  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: spacious, resistant to drop shock, hot-swappable

Cons: constantly finding little quirks....just today it decided I couldn't transfer anything over 5Gb. There have been other flaws in the past....sometimes system won't recognize it, sometimes it freezes other programs

Other Thoughts: I wish this nice case was protecting a more reliable product

Pros: affordable, upgradeable, reliable internet machine

Cons: not much support available, not strong enough for video or animation

Other Thoughts: I consider it a beater....something to take on the internet while I leave my work machine safe from the cyber ghetto. It does its job & I haven't had any trouble out of it. Not a fan of the McAfee, but it's easy to replace that. I was designing a new cheapo system when I came across this cost about $50 less than my design for comparable specs & it was already put together. Lenovo wins this round.
