Pros: • Rock solid stability
• Attractive Price
• Stays cool with/without great air flow
Other Thoughts: Received this kit as a gift while building my current machine about 2 years ago. While running an i7 930 at 3.6Ghz and the memory at its max settings ( timings: 9, 9, 9, 24 speed: 1333Mhz) this memory provides stability that is rock solid. No bsod. No hitches or glitches along the way. I highly recommend this kit.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This cooler keeps my i7 920 cores at 29°C to 33°C idle and under load at about 42°C to 45°C on stock clock speeds for the FSB. Additionally, I think this is a handsome looking piece with the black finish, fin design and shape, and the LED lights. All the parts and screws for the installation were well labeled and easy to locate for your particular socket (mine being LGA 1366) and this unit supports a wide range of sockets out there right now, which is nice to see from a cooling unit if you decide to reuse it.
Cons: It is a larger cooler to use and now makes it a touch more difficult to maneuver inside my case. I had to remove my side case fan (not too big a deal) in my Antec 1200 case. Also, I think they could have spared a bit more thermal paste in the event of difficulty applying it. This did happen to me. Additionally, they suggest in the instructions to spread the thermal paste, which is nearly impossible to do. I suggest just allowing the heat-sink to spread the paste when you screw it down as this will leave fewer air pockets and bubbles in the paste and you will overall have a better heat transfer between the CPU, paste, and cooler.
Other Thoughts: I haven't over-clocked just yet, but I imagine that this cooler would keep pace with most over-clocking needs. I'm not sure that increasing the fan speed with this unit would actually produce better cooling, but it does produce more noise. Not saying it won't, just haven't tested that yet.
Overall, I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a great cooler.
Pros: Very solid performance from this card for a very attractive price. 2-way SLI performance scales very well and is still within the affordable range.
Cons: Tri-SLI performance scaling leaves a bit to be desired considering the cost of 3 cards.
Other Thoughts: These cards suck up 36 amps off of your 12-volt rail so be sure to keep that in mind when deciding on a power supply. As with most graphics cards these days, these are large cards and you will want to check your case size twice before you purchase and build your pc.READ FULL REVIEW
