Bose® Around-Ear Headphones
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

3 out of 5 eggs Bosey 05/08/2014

This review is from: Bose® Around-Ear Headphones

Pros: None

Cons: -Bose is overpriced, always.
-Bose doesn't publish any specifications, the reason is their sound quality almost universally sucks (they claim they don't because knowing the specifications would 'ruin the experience' between user and product *bose employee proceeds to taste his farts while smacking lips*).
Bose has poor quality because their frequency range is smaller than other brands and their wave forms are usually all over the place.
-Bose is like Apple, if Apple had absolutely no redeeming qualities besides style. Bose markets like crazy, sells polished turds at high margins, and hides their lack of quality behind.

Bose is kind of like the Monster Cable of speakers.

Other Thoughts: There is a reason music professionals do not buy Bose. I highly suspect a lot of these reviews are plants :/.

Pros: Hard to break

Cons: -Bose is overpriced, always.

Other Thoughts: There is a reason musicians, djs, producers, or even music enthusiasts that peddle in lossless don't buy Bose.

GIGABYTE GA-EP45T-USB3P LGA 775 Intel P45 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: 1) The dual copper really does make a cooling difference. I thought it was just a marketing ploy until I opened it up. I touched the back and it felt cold, very, very cold.
2) The board comes with heatsinks on the cpu mosfets, the north bridge and the southbridge. The cpu mosfets and northbridge sinks are connected through piping to help transfer heat around, is pretty helpful considering that people pump air out out sometimes through the back, sometimes up, and sometimes have no air hitting north bridge,
3) Mosfets seem to ensure reliable power.
4) Can run Xfire.
5) Couldn't overclock my Q9300 at all on previous mobo, with this one I got it up to 3.69 stable from 2.5. Even with
the exact same components and case throughout. Even then, overclocked, cpu ran cooler than on previous stock mobo.
6) Northbridge is stable with over voltages
7) Onboard audio exceeds desires for everyone but audiophiles.
8) Steady at a FSB that is 2000, that is frekin awesome for a 775 mobo.
9) Lots

Cons: 1) USB 3.0 cuts pci express x16 to x8, however, if you are running crossfire, it doesn't seem to cut into that x8.
2) Runs x8 x8 for crossfire, but not much of a concern, unless you are running something like dual geforce 470's, which would be really weird for a 775 socket mobo.
3)Bios settings have no explanations most of the time, so you have to do your home work or know what you are doing.
4)Bios does not recognize hardware native voltages, timings, frequencies consistently.

Other Thoughts: READ THIS

If you go with this mobo, it really is great, and will only be "doa" if you don't handle bios properly.

YOU MUST

Inventory everything you plan on sticking on this, and when you start it, YOU HAVE TO hit the "delete" key for bios and enter everything MANUALLY.

cntrl-i for raid 0,1,5 setup

If you have a soundcard that is better then onboard, then diable azalia codec.

Disable green lan or any green option for that matter.

HPET is only for vista.

MCH voltage = Northbridge voltage

Disable USB 3.0 until you have a crossfire setup.

ALWAYS disable usb 3.0 turbo, the only truly defective thing I found about this board's hardware.

By manually set everything, that also means the advanced ram timings. Check your rams support forums for what are the optimum timings for your ram.
