This review is from: Samsung SL-M2625D/XAC Monochrome Laser Printer
Pros: Thought it was a decent printer, until it wasn't.
Cons: It failed and Samsung was no help.
Other Thoughts: I got it on sale but I did not put it in use immediately because I was still using my Samsung ML-2010 until its toner ran out and its paper feed started slacking off a bit. I thereafter put the new Samsung 2625D was in service and it failed shortly after warranty expired. Its toner light came on blinking to indicate it was getting low and shortly thereafter all lights on panel went to full-on all the time as soon as the printer power button was pushed, and the printer would no longer respond at all.
I contacted Samsung Chat and asked if a low of empty toner could cause this and I was told yes. I bought a new OEM toner and guess what, Samsung Chat was wrong! The new toner did nothing to help. I contacted Chat again and was told to updated the firmware but they cut me off in the middle of the Chat and left me hanging. I did get the firmware update done but it did not help. I re-contacted Samsung both by Chat & by email to express my dissatisfaction with Chat. Samsung responded to neither. I was an avid Samsung user (over a dozen of their products) but no more. Just bought an HP laser and it's great. Too bad Samsung, I gave you 4 opportunities to respond, all to no avail. Now I am sitting on a brand new Samsung Toner that I can't use in addition to the failed printer.
Pros: Was a great buy for the price with rebate (as long as you know the limitations of Chrome Books over full blown Windows laptops/notebooks).
Cons: My refurb looked virtually new. When I powered it on however it informed me that there was no Operating System installed. New Egg was super when I called and was ready to exchange it immediately. Fortunately I was able to download the Chrome OS to a flash drive on another computer, and install it after Googling some how-to instructions (which were a bit cryptic).
It works fine now and I would not hesitate to order another.
Other Thoughts: While someone forgot to install the OS upon refurbush, NewEgg came through as usual with its prompt attempt to remedy the problem which fortunately I was able to solve.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Casio TQ140-1DF Alarm Clock
Pros: Looks nice, Feels Solid
Cons: The alarm hand on the face is way too small and aligns with a small inner part of the face. It's very hard to set the alarm if the minute or hour hand is anywhere near the alarm hand because they cover it up. Also trying to get the alarm within 15 minutes of where you want it is a challange due to this design.
Other Thoughts: If you want it just as a clock it would be fine but for an alarm I would not buy it again.READ FULL REVIEW
