Excellent RAM
Pros: This is a very nice 6GB kit, very fairly priced. Love the XMP settings, just turned the bios to XMP and it sets it at 1600MHz and correct timing/voltage automatically. Personally, I have a lot to do as a NVIDIA Focus Group member/forum mod and playing around with trial and error OCing is not high on my list of things to do. This kind of convenience and stability is most welcome in my box. Running it on an Asus P6T-Deluxe mainboard with i7 965.
Cons: None I've seen.
Overall Review: Recommend.
Lasted a whole 8 months
Pros: Quiet, works well at first, cheap
Cons: Rarely used the computer this was used on, in a spare bedroom, back up pc. Today, the feet were broken on two of the posts and the HSF was leaning on my video card. Hope nothing got shorted on that. Absolute junk.
Overall Review: DO NOT BUY
Do NOT buy
Pros: Cheap, great concept. Like my Corsair H50, this theoretically will be better as it expels the air rather than drawing it in.
Cons: Let me preface by saying I've been a PC gamer since the 1980s. I'm a beta tester for on of the large hardware companies as a hobby, worked in IT/IS for the last 11 years. And boy do I HATE the install procedure for this product. I have wasted two hours of a Saturday morning trying to get all four of the screws to line up. I've installed multiple water systems before, countless HSFs, and I can't get this one to fit. I have a Coolermaster Cosmos 1010 case, herein lies another problem. The ECO made it so my Asus P6T Deluxe barely fits, the chipset heatsink barely clears the hoses of the ECO, and the block is way too close to the radiator. The hoses are bent at close to right angles. Worst of all is the godawful screw situation though, I would have spent $75 NOT to do this. I had very high hopes for this product, I just got 480GTX SLi and hoped to expel the heat from my i7 965 out of the case. PCs should be easy to work with, not with CoolIt. Beware!
Overall Review: Life is short. Work with parts that are easy to install, even if they cost more. I'm going to return it if I spend much more time on this wretched thing.
Return of the King
Pros: This is THE video card to buy right now! I had been waiting to upgrade my X800XT for one of the current gen cards as it's showing it's age. If you want to run new games at 16X12 4X8X and up, this is the card for you. Runs totally quiet and cool with exceptional HSF. Pure Video works great, fillrate and bandwidth to spare. I like the fact that I can SLI this card if I ever need to, and get longer use out of the investment.
Cons: Not cheap, but the best never is.
Overall Review: Hopefully these things are in stock to stay.
