Pros: USB 3
comes with usb3 cable 24" long.
on off with rocker switch
Cons: I used the Startech unit for 4 years as a backup. This unit requires a reformat of the disk containing my important documents, either as usb3 or usb2 connection. Thus it does not meet my immediate needs.
You must force the drive down into this in order to seat it. Wonder how long it will last.
Other Thoughts: StarTech says their products are not serviceable. I tried to buy a switch assembly to replace the one that failed. They refused to sell it to me. After complaining they generously offered to replace it free of charge which I accepted with thanks. I wonder if the replacement unit will also be unable to read the drive I had been using for backup.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Windows 7 installed flawlessly. With an A6-5400K processor the system's performance profile showed. the 500GB Maxtor STM3500630 drive to be the performance limiter at 5.8.The onboard graphics scored 6.7 without a discrete graphics card. A quiet cool system with low power consumption.
Cons: Incompatible with a 64 bit Vista Business Pro OS. Could not get the network or the USB 3.0 components to function. Wasted a lot of time before upgrading to Windows 7 HP.
Other Thoughts: obvious that low power consumption is the driving parameter for component manufacturers not aiming to serve gamers predominately.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: good picture from dp connection thru active dp x hrmi adapter. My problem must be related to the HDMI 4 port switch. Will have to spend time on a work around to get where I want to be.
Cons: I was not aware of this problem. Not the card's fault.READ FULL REVIEW
