MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: -No temperature problems
-Plays 2013/older games on absolute highest settings (see other thoughts though regarding the resolution I play at)
-Nvidia software is pretty sweet

Cons: -MSI software is pretty useless

Other Thoughts: I bought this about a year ago and haven't had any issues with it. I've only ever used Nvidia cards just out of habit, so I can't comment on how they compare to AMD cards. I got this mainly because I was into Planetside 2 at the time, but I've since moved on to other games. I should note that my monitor is 1280x1024 so take my review with a grain of salt if you play on a larger monitor.

I love the Nvidia software that automatically optimizes the game settings if the game is on their supported list, as I don't really like fiddling with graphics settings. I just want to play and have it look nice.

If I were to buy a card today I'd probably go with one of the newer 700 series cards, but this will still probably be able to handle new games on high settings for several more years.

Western Digital Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: -Still working
-No issues

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: I've had this about a year now and it seems like it's running fine. I would have liked to have gotten a SSD since everybody talks about how great they are, but I was on a budget.

Corsair Carbide Series 200R Black Steel / Plastic compact ATX Mid Tower Case

5 out of 5 eggs A solid budget case 05/07/2014

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 200R Black Steel / Plastic compact ATX Mid Tower Case

Pros: -Low price
-Good ventilation
-Classy looking
-Solid construction
-No problems with the mail-in rebate

Cons: -Front USB and audio jacks could be in a better spot such as on top or along the side. I leave my gaming headset plugged in there but the cord hanging down obstructs the path of the CD tray popping out so I have to move it aside. Ultimately not a big deal as far as problems go.

Other Thoughts: I got this for $30 after a mail-in rebate. I was building a rig for gaming/home office but I was on a tight budget. I am happy with the purchase and if I went back in time I would buy it again. It may be loud by enthusiast standards but I don't notice it and for a gaming rig, who cares? There's going to be tons of gunshots and explosions coming out of the speakers.

Also I'm paranoid about fake reviews, so you should all know that this isn't one of them, for what it's worth.
