Hitachi GST Deskstar 7K2000 HDS722020ALA330 (0F10311) 2TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Reliable

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bought two of these for two different computers well over a year ago. Neither drive has given me any problem in that time. They sometimes take a little while to fire up once they go into their hibernation mode, but once they're seeking, they're quick. I can't hear them over my fans, so that's all I need there. For the price, 2TB of storage is great. I'm pretty sure there's newer models out now, so I won't be buying this drive again, but I will stick with the brand.

Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 140mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases and Radiators
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Inexpensive
Moves a lot of air

Cons: Newer style of connector than what my old motherboard supports

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these to replace the top exhaust fans on my Tempest. They're significantly quieter than the 120mm fans on the case (same brand, purchased at the same time), and they move a lot more air. Since the fans aren't visible from the outside of the case, the black plastic isn't a problem, and I'd buy these again without hesitation.

Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Value 4-Pack)
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Very inexpensive
They work well

Cons: Maybe noisier than more expensive models?

Other Thoughts: I have an original NZXT Tempest case that I've had for several years now, and all the fans finally went out on it. I bought these and a couple 140mm fans to replace the stock ones. I think my motherboard uses an older connector as the connectors on these didn't go anywhere. I wound up just cutting the connectors off these and soldering up the wires to the old fans' cables. They're not individually loud, though the combined sound of 6 fans in a case is pretty noisy. My computer hasn't overheated since installing them, however, and that's why I have them.
