Soooo FAST - I LOVE it!

Crucial RealSSD C300 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CTFDDAC128MAG-1G1
Crucial RealSSD C300 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CTFDDAC128MAG-1G1

Pros: Boots in about 15 seconds, and would be faster if it weren't having to wait on Microsoft's lovely little graphics LOL. Then it would likely be about 10 seconds or less. First install of Win7 was 17 minutes. Have been using this since 03/2011 for the OS and a few other programs that don't let you choose your directory (grrrr). For storage & some other programs I keep everything else on a 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s hard drive.

Cons: Sort of pricey for the storage & no mounting bracket included for internal HD bays. Am I the only one left who thinks that things should come with all the accessories you might need instead of having to purchase separately? :o) Not enough to dock an egg for though since the product itself is excellent.

Overall Review: If you have little to no patience (like me) and you have the funds to get this, you should...

Well, it works, but...

Rosewill RTK-001 Premium Anti-Static Wrist Strap
Rosewill RTK-001 Premium Anti-Static Wrist Strap

Pros: It does the job.

Cons: It doesn't stay on the wrist very well, plus the clip broke off the 2nd day I was using it because the cord is wound too tightly. If you need to use it more than about 18 inches away, or, simply have to reach over and grab another tool, make sure you either take this off or reach with your other hand because it doesn't like to stay together. My husband had to actually clamp the little alligator clip back onto the metal pole it's attached to after it broke. And I kept worrying it would fall off of my wrist at the wrong moment while handling components in my case.

Overall Review: If you need to get this because you're allergic to velcro then go for it, but otherwise you're probably better off getting something that's constructed a little more sturdily especially if you plan on using for more than one build or job.

Good for what it is

ASUS 23.6" FHD LCD Monitor 1ms (GTG) 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, HDMI VN247H-P
ASUS 23.6" FHD LCD Monitor 1ms (GTG) 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, HDMI VN247H-P

Pros: Inexpensive. It was only $134.99 on sale when I got it. Nice bright monitor and several presets which are basic but nice. The colors, once adjusted, are nice and seem very vibrant (see other thoughts below on this). For displaying pictures on web pages and media it's a beautiful display and the response time is great too - the only issues i ever have with any kind of video or gaming are always connectivity related, never monitor related. I didn't have any dead areas or weirdness - it worked straight out of the box for me - it was just plug-n-play no fussing with drivers or software. Windows 7 detected it with no issues. Plus, it came wrapped in this cool tube plastic bubble container that looks like you could use it for a pool raft after you get the monitor out LOL. It also comes with the required cables to hook it up which is always a plus.

Cons: No true HDMI or DVI connection. Text isn't sharp no matter how many times I go through fine tuning it, and I think that it's the weird connection cable (DVI to HDMI - what the hey is that all about anyhow lol) seems to hold back what the monitor could be if it were a true HDMI to HDMI or DVI to DVI connection. It's funny I had to replace my work monitor recently and switching to the cable there solved the distorted text issue brilliantly. Truthfully, the text issue probably wouldn't bother most folks, but coming from the old monitor that displayed text absolutely crisp and clear, it bugs me a LOT!! The funky text that can't be completely sharpened no matter what I try along with the limited connections available is why the egg was removed. DVI to DVI or HDMI to HDMI would have been a LOT better but this monitor just doesn't have those options.

Overall Review: Replaced a 19" Viewsonic I got from Newegg in 2007. Frankly, the Viewsonic still had a better picture in terms of sharpness, but the backlighting was starting to fade and whites were starting to look yellowish no matter the adjustments. Plus, the 1440 x 900 resolution just wasn't enough screen real estate for today's gaming needs and my aging eyes... I'll miss that monitor fiercely though, at least until I can eventually find one that doesn't carry such limits in connection options and more importantly, text and image sharpness and precision challenges!!! Overall though, considering I only paid the 134.99, I do feel like I got my money's worth. If I had paid full price for this thing though (Currently showing 259.99 at the time of this review), I would have been sorely disappointed.

Great little headphones!

Logitech 980445-0403 3.5mm/ USB Connector Supra-aural Premium Notebook Headset
Logitech 980445-0403 3.5mm/ USB Connector Supra-aural Premium Notebook Headset

Pros: They sound great - surprisingly good bass and very clear sound all around. Price was awesome - got them during black Friday weekend so for the price I had to give 5 eggs. These come with a nice and fairly sturdy hard plastic case - great if you're a parent trying to hide extra wires from curious and rambunctious little ones! LOL. Also, I do have pretty sensitive ears due to a past of 10 years in a call center and these are very comfortable to wear for a couple hours without much fuss or causing pressure aches. My head is fairly small though, so folks with larger heads might have a different experience and a more snug fit.

Cons: Slightly awkward around the ears if you wear glasses - it's best if you take off your glasses first before putting these on, adjust until comfy, and *then* put your glasses back on. But, that's what you're in for when buying this particular headphone style so I didn't subtract any eggs for it since I knew what I was getting into. I've had better and less awkward designs though in this headphone type but again not weird enough to subtract an egg. Maybe a quarter of an egg but since that's not an option... ;o)

Overall Review: Definitely buy these if you like this type of headphone and if you can get them on a good sale. They do seem to compare equally or better than some others in the same price range.

Not that great

ViewSonic 23.6" Active Matrix, TFT LCD Full HD 1080p LCD Monitor 2 ms 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, DVI, HDMI X Series VX2439WM
ViewSonic 23.6" Active Matrix, TFT LCD Full HD 1080p LCD Monitor 2 ms 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, DVI, HDMI X Series VX2439WM

Pros: Widescreen, secure packing. Speakers work with HDMI cable (no extra audio cable required).

Cons: Recommended setting stinks as do other resolutions - none of them produced the crystal clear sharp images that I've come to expect from Viewsonic monitors based on past monitors from them. 1080P has a full inch of empty black screen on the left & right, and a half inch on the top & bottom. What's the point of getting a new larger monitor when the vertical screen real estate is actually smaller than my 19" monitor and the widescreen is just more for my peripheral vision and doesn't actually enhance the whole experience. Plus, blurry text even with HDMI connection and Sapphire Radeon 6950 video card and updated drivers. That's just bananas. I'm so utterly disappointed in Viewsonic on this one - colors also seemed a little faded regardless of tweaking the colors/contrast/brightness etc. RMA'd this.

Overall Review: To put the cons in perspective, I hooked up my old 19" Viewsonic with it's equally old DVI cable using the same exact video graphic settings and I'm now getting that ultra clear sharp image I was hoping for on the new monitor... I don't know, maybe I just got a bad one....? Works & It's Comfy

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000
Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000

Pros: Works well and is comfortable with the ergonomic thing it's got going on, especially for those with carpal tunnel or in beginning stages of it. Nice wrist rest since I'm not good about "keeping the proper hand position" when I type. (Probably why i'm getting carpal tunnel...)

Cons: Space key is just sticky and too hard to strike - I've owned at least 3 of these keyboards (my kids keep spilling stuff in the poor things lol) and on every single one I've had, the space key sticks and has to be hammered with my poor thumbs to work (even before anything is spilled on it ;o). Also, it's kind of loud and clackety. These are the reasons it's not a 5-egger and also why I stopped buying these even though the kids still try their best to ruin my keyboards... lol.

Overall Review: Uhm, keep the kiddos away from it... ;o)

Quick Arrival, great condition!

Received earlier than expected and exactly as described. It was a gift for my mom - her old pc bit the dust. Great little machine (refurbished desktop) for the internet surfing and little word games and whatnot she likes to play. Just what was needed and hard to beat the specs for the price!
