This review is from: APC APCRBC109 Replacement Battery Cartridge #109
Pros: This was the EXACT replacement battery set as described.
Mid-Pack connector already included.
Cons: They don't replace themselves (J/K). I had to physically remove the old ones and insert the new ones.
Other Thoughts: I reordered this with a bit of trepidation based upon the reviews.
Battery set arrived well packaged for a battery.
Battery itself barely dusty (which can be expected based on how batteries are stored at factory and wharehouses to safely prevent hazards).
Wiped it off and obviously a BRAND NEW batteriy set (not a rebuild).
I removed the old battery, placed this battery into UPS, and CHARGED FOR 24 HRS with unit off (standard instructrion for ANY UPS).
Then attached all my devices and turned the UPS on...
Works great, just like new.
FYI, the original batteries lasted 2, years. The first replacement set direct from Manufacturer lasted 4.5 years.
This is my second replacement set. I have several UPS systems so have a bit of experience with them. I've found issues can occur restarting a UPS battery replacement if you just pop them in and restart. It is IMPORTANT on batteries to FULLY CHARGE THEM on RECEIPT for 24 hours BEFORE reusing your system.
I feel confident with using APC replacement batteries and have had no issues with these.
Pros: Works Great With AIO System.
Master ON/OFF switch.
Rubber bottom pads so as to not scratch your desk.
Excellent Vendor response.
Cons: No wall mount holes, so you'll need to work out your own velcro or other mounting solution IF you wish to wall mount instead of desk mount.
Other Thoughts: I've several systems, all maxed out on ports and familiar with multi hubs, etc. Got a new AIO Win 7 sys and though it has 6 ports native wanted to expand the cpability and purchased this hub as well as another vendors different brand 10 port usb 3 hub (advertised on Newegg as 'metal'. The other 'metal' hub was only recognized as USB 2, even with NO devices attached. So RMA'd that one.
This HooToo HT-UH009 10-Port USB 3.0 Hub arrived in 3 days, well packaged and supoorted with air cushion bags. It has a power supply that has so far handled everything I've thrown at it. Handles my externally powered 4tb hard drives and several usb sticks concurrently without issue. So does exactly what I needed and does it well. I worked with it for about ten days with no problems, so went ahead and ordered TWO more. Same result..Well packed, fast receipt, and they work fine. So now I have 30 plus ports to work with.
Each individual port has a blue led when a device is connected and a master on/off switch for the entire hub which is very handy on shutdowns or to shorten your initial boot times in Win 7. I like it enough as noted to re-order and am very happy with the end result. So far no instances of unexpected disconnects or drive errors as I have had with other branded hubs (either due to insufficient power suppplies, chipset probs or shoddy construction). This HooToo hub has so far turned out to be a solid performer. When I registered the hub at their webiste, found a downloadable manual and a free warranty extension just for registering. (No idea if that is a time-limited offer). In short, great hub, great support, good vendor for Newegg customers.
Pros: Works flawlessly, specs and online pics as described, sturdy, MASTER ON/OFF switch for hub. Did I say it WORKS!
Register it online for extended warranty currently, good support website.
I've received NO SPAM post registration (a big pro to me).
Cons: None, works great so far.
Other Thoughts: Maxed out my sys using 7 port usb3 hubs and got new AIO machine. So decided to upgrade to the new 10 port hubs. I bought one from Hootoo and another promoted as being metal you can also find on new egg. The 'metal' hub was only recognized as a usb 2. hub.
My Hootoo USB3.0 10 port hub,HT-UH009 was instanly recognized as USB 3. All devices including my external powered 4tb hard drives and usb sticks work perfectly with NO disconnects or other errors. I returned via RMA the other brand hub and purchased TWO more of these HooToo hubs. So now I have 30 addtional ports on my sys, ALL Working fine! Hats of to HooToo for delivering a great product and Pro Trend for delivering it in a fast and well packaged and protected shipment on Both sets of orders.
I have two other active systems so most likely will be ordering a few more of these hubs, as I rotate out the 7-port hubs I have in use on them.
