Pros: I love this motherboard and chose it over the ASUS Rampage IV motherboard due to cost compared to feature set. I paired it with two sets of the CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 memory.
The only thing this motherboard was missing was a firewire port, I'm assuming because it has USB 3.0 and eSATA.
The BIOS is easy to setup and even easier to play with when working to overclock your CPU/RAM. It took me about 15 minutes to setup BIOS for this board before the system was up and running.
I also setup the SSD caching feature that ASUS offers with this board and it works great. Using an 80GB Intel SSD, I noticed a boost in the performance of my 1.5TB hard drive after setting up SSD caching.
Main boot drive used: Intel 510 Series 250GB SSD.
The one thing I would mention: Windows 7 wants to install a driver for the motherboard, but it conflicts with the driver that comes on the CD. I uninstalled the Win driver and everything worked correctly.
Cons: No additional firewire ports (see Pros).
Be careful of installing Windows Updates' drivers - use the drivers on the CD instead.
Other Thoughts: Don't install the Intel SSD Toolbox because it does not work well with the new X79 chipset yet.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Even though the price of these modules is still high, I've been running them for over a month now (two sets = 64GB RAM) and using them on a Windows 7 system which runs VMware free with seven virtualized servers and never looked back.
Right out of the box, they worked perfectly in the ASUS P9X79 DELUXE LGA 2011 Intel X79 motherboard, even though they're not on ASUS's compatibility list.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: If you are looking for size and speed, this set of memory sticks is the way to go. Plugged into the right motherboard and you'll have a pairing that surpasses all else.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Connected to a 6GB port, this SSD hard drive is crazy fast and lacks nothing in performance. I chose the Intel brand not because of price (obviously), but because of quality.
Cons: This hard drive is a bit expensive compared to others at this speed/size.READ FULL REVIEW
