This review is from: ZyXEL NSA320 Diskless System 2-Bay Power Media Server
Pros: You can't beat this NAS at the ~$100 price range. You will have to spend at least 50% more to get better read/write performance. I get write speeds in the 70-75mb/s range consistently, and read speeds in the 80's-90's, in Raid 0.
Cons: None in this price range.
Other Thoughts: I was a little disappointed with my read/write speeds until I did a little research. Removing unused protocols and enabling jumbo frames on my adapter (not the NAS, but on my network adapter) yielded nice results.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The combination of features and quality make this a steal. I was looking for a few things in a board that weren't as common (msata slot, plenty of USB 3.0 and more than 2 sata3 ports,) and this board has it all. I love this motherboard. Also has plenty of fan headers - something commonly lacking. Love the new bios.
Cons: Complete lack of Linux drivers from Gigabyte. Everything is Windows (but it all still works fine in Mint 15, just with their drivers)
some very small things could be improved, like the msata is only sata2. Not sure if it's making any difference at all, to be honest.
This review is from: Crucial M4 256GB Mini-SATA (mSATA) MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CT256M4SSD3
Pros: Fastest drive I've ever seen, and mSata means I can keep using the 1tb platter drive for storage on my laptop. Absolutely love this drive
Cons: None. Would love for it to be cheaper, but that's true of everything.
Other Thoughts: It amazes me that there aren't more high end laptops with quality spacious SSD's like this.READ FULL REVIEW
