This review is from: Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 Scanner for PC and Mac (PA03656-B005)
Pros: Decided it was time to eliminate as much paper in my home office as possible. Once I set this scanner up on my desk, I was able to feed in old bills, statements, warranties, user manuals, etc. Took three big bags to get rid of all the paper I shredded! Now a new document comes in, I scan it (takes only seconds), electronically file it and shred the paper. It comes bundled with Adobe Acrobat so you can make notations on the pdf's after scanning.
Cons: Sometimes has trouble translating business cards with intricate designs into text that will work with most contact managers. Haven't tried the scanner with multiple photos to jpegs, but I'm told that you'll need to clean the scanner sensors pretty often.
Other Thoughts: You will generate a LOT of electronic files if you start using this scanner regularly. Give some thought to how you want to label the files, where you'll store them and how you'll back them up. Do the work up front and it becomes much easier later on.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The one that worked has been fast, silent and cool.
Cons: The one that didn't, well it didn't work.
Other Thoughts: Newegg's Customer Service was excellent as usual and issued an RMA for the defective drive without any hassle. Thanks!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SAMSUNG ML Series ML-2851ND Workgroup Up to 30 ppm Monochrome Laser Printer
Pros: Excellent companion to an inkjet printer; I found myself going through those tri-color cartidges just printing drafts of presentations and web pages. Quiet, warms up quickly and prints even quicker.
Cons: - Couple of jams on envelopes with the manual feeder.
- Included software adds unnecessary bloat.
Other Thoughts: Very pleased overall.READ FULL REVIEW
