This review is from: Total War: Rome 2 PC Game
Cons: I don't own this game personally but it's so horrible that I'm going to write a review to keep people away from it.
My friend owns this and loves the Total War series. He got this back in September and couldn't get through maybe five turns without the game crashing his computer, the game crashing itself, or it slowing down to the point of almost freezing (unplayable). He asked me to look at his computer because he thought it might be the reason. Everything is fine and he meets the minimum / some of the recommended settings. Then I find out that the game has massive bug issues so problem found.
It's been about 6 months give or take since the game has been released, I've read that there have been massive patch releases and guess what happens now? The game can't even get through a single turn without crashing when it calculates your enemies decisions / moves.
I've played computer games for years, build computers, repair them, etc. and have never seen a game this horrible upon release or even when updates have come out. Stay Away!! Or wait maybe until 2016...... Hopefully they'll have it fixed by then......

-Like the price for it's performance
Cons: Instructions could have used a bit more work.
Other Thoughts: Hooked this up in my antec twelve hundred case on the bottom exhaust fan. Bought this earlier today and took almost no time to install. The thermal compound is still setting in with my phenom II 940 but temps are at 24 C idle vs my arctic cooler 64 which was at 36 C =) 4Ghz here I come!!!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Cheap DVD burner, you can't really complain for it being only $25. SATA. I can now have multiple dvd rips going with these two i got and my old ide dvd burner. Takes only about 25 - 30 minutes to rip a typical dvd with my AMD 940 and this bad boy =)
Cons: Haven't had it to long and doesn't seem to have any problems right now. Hopefully that doesn't change *knock on wood*
Other Thoughts: Didn't have to mess with any jumpers on the back. Just plugged in, checked BIOS to make sure they were there, and it took Windows about a two minutes to download the drivers and presto. Easy to install, cheap, and I will be buying / recommending until blue ray comes down in price.READ FULL REVIEW
