This review is from: ASUS EA-N66 Dual-Band Wireless-N900, 3 in 1 Access Point/Repeater/Gigabit Ethernet Adapter IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n 1 x RJ-45 Ethernet port Up to 450Mbps downlink + 450Mbps uplink Wireless recertified
Pros: If you have an ASUS router, this range extender works exactly as intended. It will increase coverage throughout your property or house. or strengthen your coverage if it is spotty in certain locations. My issues were that my iPhone would drop coverage in certain areas, even though my Mac and PC wireless signals were strong. Thanks to the EA-N66R, I won't miss that opportunistic Badoo message from some local ho. Password is ADMIN for username ADMIN.
Cons: It's pretty small and flimsy and this refurb comes with no setup sheets, manuals or warranty information. You have to go onto ASUS's website to get this info.
Other Thoughts: Setup on this device was very simple. Just turn off all of your internet connections, plug this thing in via CAT5, go www.asusrouter.com, and easily configure it to what settings you intend (be it USB wireless mode, access point mode, or the other one).
Others have reported issues with this thing, and it may be throttling intended by ASUS to force the consumer to buy their products. My coverage has improved significantly but only because I have an ASUS router. I also have a dLink and Linksys router in my junk pile (that I could also use as a wireless access point), but decided to stay homogeneously and stick with an ASUS product.
This product DOES have a screw slot to hang on a wall (I wasn't sure of it before purchasing and the pictures do not clearly indicate this). I basically stuck a push pin into the wall and hung this EA-N66R off of it (yes it's that light).
This review is from: SEgoN 32GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model S32SDHC10
Pros: Works great and quickly in cameras like a Canon 110 ELPH, GoPro 2 and 3, and Canon T4i. When dumping onto a mac, the videos and pictures look just fine.
Other Thoughts: You can pay 50% more for a name brand, or you can stick to these guys and get just as good quality.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Nice, small and thin. Slightly smaller than other 2.5" hard drive, which I installed in a Mac Mini 2011 model. Installed Mountain Lion onto this harddrive after using disk utility to format the drive.
Cons: Runs hot. You will most likely need some kind of cooling device to keep your mac mini from overheating.
Other Thoughts: Somewhat of a trick to snap into place. But that's how it goes when you are installing into a mac mini!READ FULL REVIEW
