This review is from: AMD 760K Richland Quad-Core 3.8GHz Socket FM2 100W Desktop Processor AD760KWOHLBOX
Pros: Fastest processor owned to date.
Cons: Heatsink. 'nough said.
Other Thoughts: The original temperature reads were alarming to say the least... (70C at idle) however after doing some research i found that for some reason these processors run hot out of the box regularly. (would have been nice for AMD to include a heat-sink to compensate for this) however, not worth removing a star for. It still never over heats dangerously.. even playing Crysis 3 on High, with 16x AA. At a price of only $89.99 you can't really justify any negative emotions about a product this good. lol.
If you're going to buy this processor and plan to overclock, I would personally recommend going with an aftermarket heat-sink. I personally purchased the EVO 212 just to be safe.
But can honestly report no reading above 70C while under heavy load.
I will also add... she has barely any thermal paste on her (if any) I almost returned her originally thinking i got a lemon CPU (cleaned for reboxing/return)
If you've read this far.. just buy the thing!
Pros: SHARP. Like whoa... This thing was a surprise.. Had never heard of this brand before and was a little nervous about ordering it.. but needed a cheap, HDMI input 24 inch monitor, and quick for a design build... $140. That's all. It also has speakers too!! (if you're into that sort of thing) ofcourse these speakers aren't amazing.. but are actually also surprisingly loud, True colors as well! Have not used HDMI yet, as cable is still in mail. (am using a VGA Cable with DVI Adapter) It also arrived next day...
Cons: Honestly... not much to say here.. except.. sometimes when the screen is black I can see these faded gray lines about a third into the monitor on each side. It's not bad or consistent enough to return.. but still something to point out.
Other Thoughts: All in all quite a surprise... If you're reading this.. I suggest just buying the thing. The $140 was well worth it.READ FULL REVIEW
