This review is from: SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 1.0" Black 8GB MP3 Player SDMX18-008
Pros: It was dirt cheap when I got it, only $29.99
Cons: The audio plug in the unit is not soldered in correctly and the audio in the left ear of your headphones will go in and out depending upon how exactly you hold the device. This started happening about 1 month after the purchase so that I couldn't return it for a refund.
I thought that the problem might be with the headphones so I tried 3 different pairs, and the problem is not with the headphones but with the player itself. I am now almost 6 months into ownership of the product and while the device still works most of the time, it is getting harder and hard to orient the headphone wire so as to make the left ear play music, and I think it's about to fail completely.
Other Thoughts: I don't know the refurbished version of this product is the only one that's this way, or new ones as well, but I would not risk it. Sansa mp3 players are decent while they work, but even new ones only last you about a year. Now we know that when you pay half the price, your player will last half as long.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: COBY Digital AM/FM Alarm/Clock Radio, Black CRA50
Pros: Alarm is loud and successfully woke me up.
Cons: There is no buzzer feature, so you can ONLY be awakened by the radio. I was kind of shocked because most alarm clocks feature a buzzer.
Other Thoughts: Buy a 9-volt battery to put into this in case your power goes out in the middle of the night, without it you're running the risk of missing work.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 1.0" Black 8GB MP3 Player SDMX18R-008GK-A57
Pros: Ordered this one refurbished, got it for $29 instead of $52. Sound quality is great, and is best without applying any equalizers.
Doesn't require any special conversion software. It claimed that one of my tracks needed to be converted, and the conversion was seamless.
Cons: -Did not include the advertised stopwatch feature (I didn't care about that anyway, but it's false advertising)
-Very slow re-building the index if you have changed any songs, usually takes it about 30 seconds to boot up.
Other Thoughts: Have only owned it for 2 days so I don't want to speak too soon, but I have owned Sansas in the past and you will usually get around a 12-16 months use out of them.READ FULL REVIEW
