This review is from: HT | OMEGA eClaro 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Express x1 Interface Sound Card
Pros: Small size, great sound, easy driver instal
Cons: the front panel connectors for this card has n xtra pin while my plug blocks it off, so unable to use front panel...
Other Thoughts: Bought the Claro2 a few wks ago, then upgraded to a Z77 Mpower which has no PCI legacy slot so had to buy this card... If you think your onboard sound is 'ok', it is it's just that with this card there is so much more~READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: fits easily in mid tower case, low power draw, great HSF combo
Cons: 192bit mem bus *on paper* but IRL its a non-issue, dont use the driver on the disk theres already a newer driver you can dl from nvidia site, wont make me a sammich.
Other Thoughts: What the 4200ti card was yesterday is what the 660ti card is today, this card will be legendary. I did the 2x 9800GT SLI to 560ti jump last winter but then this came out and i just had to get it. The 560ti isn't a bad card either and with the price of the 670+ cards i was thinking of just getting a 570 but then BAM the 660ti is here now and wow!
Diablo3 1920x1080 everything high + aa, in A3 on the bridge ZERO (couple stutters) slow down and guess what, the drivers will only get better in the coming wks ;)
Even if you have PCI 2.0 DO NOT let that stop you from getting this card, atm there is hardly anything that can max out the 2.0 bus anyway, 3.0 is currently a marketing gimmick~ im sure in the future there will be stuff that will make use of the bandwidth of 3.0 but were not at that point yet.
Heaven Benchmark v2.5 Basic, settings: 1920x1080 4xAA fullscreen, 8x anisotropy, everything high/everything enabled/tessellation normal~ Score 1266, fps 50.2, minfps 26.1/maxfps 117.3~
Pros: Easy install, cables look nice
Cons: Not fully modular, the 20+4 mobo cable is kinda big due to the way its wrapped~ made tucking it in my case a hassle
Other Thoughts: It turns on and runs the rig... is it better than other brands??? i dunno i'll just say it works, ppl say theres a red led but my case is so full of red leds i cant really tell.
Took 10min to install and plug everything in and tuck SOME of the cables...
