Pros: Between this heatsink, the Intel Q6600, MSI P45 Neo2-FR, Gigabyte Radeon 4870 512MB, and the Antec 900, I am happy with the performance and quietness that this heatsink is giving my system
Cons: This is hard to fit onto the motherboard, but if you built a pc before, this will just be a fun challenge.
Other Thoughts: I mainly use my pc for gaming. (TF2, L4D, Fallout 3)
Transcoding using TVersity for my PS3
I liked how the rebate I got back was a handwritten check. It gave it a personal touch
This review is from: MSI P45 Neo2-FR LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Works as I want it to. Not into overclocking so I don't know how well it does under that pressure, but it runs fine stock
I've never seen the header plugs which made connecting the case connections easier to do before.
Cons: When I got it in the beginning of Oct, there were issues when after I turn on the pc, it would give me the MSI logo, go a few steps into the bootup and then just rest. After looking around online forums, I managed to get newer bios updates, and it has been fine ever since
Mine did not have a latch to keep the PCI-E graphics card in. I don't know if it was just me or what
Other Thoughts: Keep track of newer bios firmware in case you have issues with yours.
I bought this to go with:
Patriot Extreme 4GB Model PDC24G6400LLK
Antec 900 Case
This thing will fit the Sunbeam "Core Contact Freezer", though it moves the springy memory heatsink along the edge, which I did not feel was a big deal to me
Pros: Does what I want it to do, which is, play Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, etc.
Basically, it makes these games I like look great to me.
Cons: Nothing to be critical about yet
Other Thoughts: I use to be about getting the best graphics card money can buy, but now I just look for products that get good reviews from sites and such at a more reasonable price.
I am keeping an eye on this to get a second down the line for the same system.
I got this when I built a system two months ago including:
MSI P45 Neo2-FR
Sunbeam "Core Contact Freezer"
Antec Nine Hundred
The exhaust port is warm about back, and hot to the touch. But it runs quiet enough to my liking. Not silent, but quiet.
