This review is from: JBL Cinema BD100 Blu-ray 5.1 Home Theater System
Pros: Good sound quality for the price
Internet services work well and are fairly reliable
Good Bluetooth range
Cons: Missing remote
Horrible customer service
HDMI-CEC not compatible with Sharp Aquos
I purchased this unit on a Shell Shocker deal about two weeks ago at a really good price point. When I received it several days later, there was no remote in the box (one other reviewer had the same problem). I contacted JBL customer service which is in India and not only did I have a difficult time understanding the representative, his response was to send an e-mail to the JBL warehouse in USA requesting a remote. About a week later, and after prodding several times, JBL informed be there were no remotes available. JBL customer service did although offer to exchange the entire unit shipping prepaid.
I got the replacement unit about a week later and yes in fact there was a remote in the box. Setup was fairly easy and straightforward. Internet streaming services all work well and are reliable.
The main problem I have now is getting the CEC-HDMI service to work with my Sharp Aquos TV. It turns off the JBL Cinema BD-100 but will not turn it on when the TV commands. So I have to work it out with a universal remote, something the CEC-HDMI is supposed to take care of. I was able to control my prior sound system using the ARC of my TV and all worked well. Another call to JBL customer service is in order.
Other Thoughts: If you don't need to interface with other HDMI devices and use Consumer Electronics Control (CEC), then this may be a good sound system for you if you can get it at the right price point. Otherwise, get used to fussing with a bunch of remote controls.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SONY MDR-RF970RK Supra-aural Radio Freq Wireless Headphones
Pros: Great sound, comfortable. Recharagable.
Cons: had trouble with the promo code.
Other Thoughts: I have been looking for wireless headphones for some time since I sometimes stay up late and when I saw these headphones on the e-mail at this price, I bought two. Gregt item and an even better price. Don't be afraid to buy refurbished. I have bought refurb items from NE for years and always reliable and good quality.READ FULL REVIEW
