This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply
Cons: Low quality, inneficient, hot, loud
Other Thoughts: I've had to warranty this PSU 3 times over 2 years. First for coil whine, then the next 2 times for the fan bearing failing. This last time they sent me a broken PSU out of the box. I've had it for one week and the fan bearing is already making an extremely loud whirring sound, and the PSU shuts off randomly. I've payed more money in return shipping costs than the value of the PSU. It's a garbage PSU, buy something better.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The design of the case is simple, yet it looks good. It's very solid, since everything but the front panel is plastic. It's very light as well. My case was bent by the PSU mount, but I was able to bend it back, so I'll take no eggs off for that. It likely happened in the warehouse and no one noticed.
There is plenty of space in the case, and you can fit a graphics card up to 9 inches long. My build uses a micro ATX Asus mobo, and there is plenty of space in the case. This case is on the smaller side of mid sized cases, but it doesn't feel cramped. If you want a smaller, inconspicuous case, this should be a viable option.
There are large slots for cable routing that makes it easy to route and tuck cables in the back of the case. Scattered across the back of the case are a plethora of zip tie mounts to hold cables in place. These zip tie mounts really helped with cable management.
You also get a white 120mm NZXT fan as a rear exhaust.
The 7 fan mounts (6 with a PSU installed) will satisfy most peoples cooling needs.
Cons: This case doesn't come with hard drive bays. You screw the actual hard drive into the mounts within the case. My 3.5" HDD fit perfectly, but youll need some sort of bracket for a 2.5" SSD, which is usually included with SSD's.
The supplied 120mm exhaust fan doesn't move much air. It seems to have around 30-40 CFM, when id prefer 60+.
I don't like the asymmetrical front panel design, but you hardly notice it. The case doors are held in place by 4 thumb screws, so it's not hassle free like tool less. But for an excellent $40 case that's a small price to pay.
Other Thoughts: Good case all around. Skimps on some luxuries, but is much easier on the walletREAD FULL REVIEW
