Pros: Worked as it should
Other Thoughts: Works with ASUS M5A99X EVO MotherboardREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: VERY quiet. Cool Looking.
Other Thoughts: Wok well in the case and on the radiator of the
Cooler Master Seidon 120XL
Pros: Good cooling, nice price, Pretty cool looking,
Pump is quiet.
Cons: Installation instructions could use a little more info.
Installed on an ASUS M5A99X EVO Motherboard w/
AMD FX 8150. Seemed like I needed to use the stand offs / spacers but none of the threads from the spacers fit the screws on the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket screws have a spring on them; had to compress the spring a little farther than I was comfortable with. Kept waiting for the thing to jump out of the case while I was attaching the block to the CPU
. The 2 120mm fans that came with the cooler are quite loud. I couldn't stand the noise. I replaced the stock fans with another set of Cooler Master fans I had for the case. These fans are much quieter and just so happened to have LED lights so it looks better too. See other thoughts for the fans I used as replacements for the noise makers.
Other Thoughts: Fans I used on the Radiator:
Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Blue LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators
(also from Newgg) Item #N82E16835103022
Fan Speed may have played a part in the excessive noise. I could not adjust the fan speed for the radiator through the AI Suite II program I have installed.
I thought the idle temps would be cooler than they are, but they aren't bad at really. Idle CPU Temps are around 40 C and climbed to 44-45 C with moderate load. Just and FYI I do have the 8150 overclocked a bit so that probably has something to do with the higher than expected temps.
