Tenda P200 Powerline Mini Adapter Kit Up to 200Mbps

2 out of 5 eggs Not as good as they first seemed 04/23/2014

This review is from: Tenda P200 Powerline Mini Adapter Kit Up to 200Mbps

Pros: When they work they do their job well...
My previous review, in which I gave them four stars, I had not needed to use them as frequently... so for infrequent use over a limited time, they work great.

Cons: I've found, as I've needed to use them more frequently that they are reliable on one point, if you leave them plugged in long enough they will provide a very unstable connection.
Additionally, my experience has been if you leave them plugged in for more than a day then, in order to have them work well, you must unplug them, let them sit for 10 minutes or so, then plug them in again.
They tend to remain stable (you know provide a network connection like you would expect from a cable), for about a half hour.

Other Thoughts: I suspect the circuitry may be fine but that heat dissipation is insufficient.
This would explain why they consistently become unstable after being plugged in for a certain amount of time, with the instability increasing the longer they are plugged in.
I may attempt to ventilate them with a drill to see if increased air flow will alleviate the problems...
(NOTE: this may not be sufficient as there will likely be a number of resistors to pull the very small amount of power they require... in which case I would need to devise some sort of heat sink)

4 out of 5 eggs Works well 01/08/2014

This review is from: Tenda P200 Powerline Mini Adapter Kit Up to 200Mbps

Pros: No configuration
Comes with two
Works as expected.

Cons: Stopped getting my computer on the network after being on for a good number of weeks, but unplugging them from & re-plugging them into the outlet, fixed the problem.

Other Thoughts: To be fair these are for a computer that isn't on often so he problem of them needing a reboot could be more common than I know about.

Kingston DataTraveler SE9 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model DTSE9H/16GBZ

4 out of 5 eggs Good Design no problems 09/07/2012

This review is from: Kingston DataTraveler SE9 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model DTSE9H/16GBZ

Pros: I very much like the solid feel the aluminum (I'm assuming) shell provide, and I like the general design. Smaller than expected (1.5" L x .5" W ... not bad, just is).
Speed met the specs provided.
Cooler than expected after reading reviews (even after copying over multiple GBs of data).

Cons: No real cons... gave it 4 instead of 5 stars as I have only had, and used, it for a week.
