Most Critical Review

Decent enough headset; some important cons

Corsair Vengeance 1400 Dual 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Gaming Headset
Corsair Vengeance 1400 Dual 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Gaming Headset

Pros: They work. Has inline volume control with inline mute Good quality microphone (7.5/10) Decent padding around ears and headband

Cons: Clamp pressure is a little uncomfortable after extended use, and will likely result in headaches from extended gaming sessions. The cord is not properly secured in the inline volume control / mute, this results in the strain being put on the solder points, and the actual wires themselves, rather than the braided sleeving. This will cause sound to begin to fail rather quickly from a shorted wire, or loose solder point. This is not a light headset, it is a little heavier than other I have tried, this may result in extra pressure on your neck, which can result in neck aches and headaches. The lows are somewhat muddy, mids a little lacking, and the highs are a little tinny.

Overall Review: Although it is a functional headset, the cord does not have proper strain relief in the inline volume control / mute. This could have been prevented easily during production by using a strain relief anchor around the wire and anchoring it inside the housing. I would not recommend trying to wear these in public for enjoying audio unless you like wearing bulky headsets and are quite shameless and brash. For the price, I would recommending getting a pair of higher quality headphones, and attaching a modmic. The sound quality will be far superior, and will be significantly more comfortable.
