This review is from: Xbox One 500GB Console with Kinect
Pros: Game lineup. Quiet. Lots of ventilation. Multimedia functions. Xbox live.
Cons: The kinect doesn't always recognize basic commands and makes you look silly in front of guests. Nothing like trying to show off the next generation console to your boys and it doesn't even work. What a joke. When everything is off the power brick fan is super annoying! It makes a high pitch sound that only can be relieved by completely unplugging the thing from the wall. Supper sluggish OS. Unresponsive requests. Long hang times on almost everything, i.e. achievements. I can't even click on my friends list without it taking nearly 10 seconds to load it, then it takes and additional 10 to click the name, then 10 more to hit invite, you get the point. Yes, a slight exaggeration, but not very responsive. Enough for me to say that I am returning this unit and keeping my PS4. I have always been an xbox guy no doubt, but this new unit just lacks the hardware to keep it as responsive with simple tasks as the ps4. DDR3 and a lackluster non-upgradeable spin drive. Sony has it right with the decision to give customers complete control on upgrading the storage device.
Other Thoughts: PS4 is my next generation console. Native 1080p on ghosts why not!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Ryse: Son of Rome Xbox One
Pros: Excellent single player story line that is not short, but far from long, a happy medium. Visuals on this game are breathtaking. Fighting mechanics in this game are deep and require precise methods of combinations to bring tough foes down quickly. If you're scared about repetition step the difficulty up to hard and you will not be hitting x for days that for sure. I noticed a lot of reviews saying this game is boring and the same all the way through. This is far from the truth in my opinion. I played the entire single player on hard, then immediately started it again on the legendary difficulty that I unlocked. After beating this game on legendary I dug into another round on novice to gather all the collectables on the map. I hate repetitive games and had no issues playing this back to back to back. Multiplayer is sweet since you get to pair up with a buddy for some gladiator action!
Cons: Same skins for different "classes" of enemies. Everyone looks like a barbarian when you fight against greeks, weird. Glitchy multiplayer that needs some patches for sure.
Other Thoughts: Good game, but needs some work on bugs no doubt. I have played this game enough to unlock every achievement so I think my claims are validated.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: BattleField 4 Xbox One
Pros: Nice looking visuals. Realistic weapon effects, weapon sounds, and weapon recoil. The fact that you can use vehicles!
Cons: Multiplayer is terrible as of December 13th. It has been nearly a month since the xbox one has released and I still cannot even join any matches. I get long hang times in que and once a match is found it never can connect. I was lucky to get into one game that eventually disconnected me. Terrible party features to get all your friends together. No lobbies at all.
Other Thoughts: Disappointing. Not worth $60. Terrible multiplayer that's barely playable.READ FULL REVIEW
