Pros: Response to Manufacturer
How did it fail?
Restarted computer Sans Digital no longer recognize any of the 4 drive, swooped Sans Digital with working Rosewell Storage Enclosure and confirmed Sans Digital no longer good.
Did you contact our tech support for help?
Didn't wont to wast time with a tech that most likely know less than me!
After looking at reviews I confirmed it to be Junk product!
All my drives work OK in the Rosewell Storage Enclosure.
I suspect a bad power supply, I lost one of my 2 Rosewell Storage Enclosures do to failing power supply, but it at least lasted 3 years.
No, not a compatible problem, remember I said it worked OK for just under 30 days, just admit it, its a peace of junk, that's why is now selling for $45 after rebate, and others are having trouble receiving the rebate from you!!!
If you have problems, no, I sent it back to Newegg as I mention in my first review, I didn't have it replaced for more junk!!!
Cons: Manufacturer Response:
Thank you for choosing Sans Digital products.
Sorry to hear about your issues. How did it fail? Did you contact our tech support for help? With the information you provided we cannot really determine what's going on on your end. However, seems like there's a problem with one of the hard drives you had put in in the enclosure right? In general, our unit require "Port Multiplier" support on the eSATA port on the computer's end, and ideally an good compatible eSATA HBA card would be the best option to connect to this unit. Did you use any card to connect?
If you have problems on the unit, please contact us by calling 1-800-980-1988 for technical support and our engineer will try to resolve it over the phone. You can also contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for email support
Pros: Looks nice! Failed in less than a 30 days so I was able to return it to Newegg for refund. It didn't take one of my hard drives with it.
Cons: Failed in less than a 30 days,
Other Thoughts: I find that it is impossible now days to reliably back up your data, by Hard drive or Blue-ray disc. Blue-ray disc start to degrade from the day you burn them. Haven't seen anything reliable since the old 20-200 gigabit hard drives. Small 4.7gb DVD-R are about the only reliable format but to small for large files.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Price and performance when it was working.
Cons: Power supply cycling on and off, bad power supply, and may have damaged some of my hard drives
Other Thoughts: I have had tow of these for about 1 1/2 years, one is still working and I have used these sparingly, over all not reliable products, single USB drive interfaces seem to be the only ones that last.READ FULL REVIEW
