This review is from: AZZA Helios 910 Black Japanese SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Pros: This is a fantastic case. Plenty of room, airflow, built pretty well I think, don't remember any sharp spots, positionable PSU, not too expensive, large slow quiet fans that work... It's the perfect case for my storage server. I want another one for my desktop now, but can't get it any more. :(
Cons: None that I can think of, certainly not for the price.
Other Thoughts: I taped over the side fan and have the other fans move air from front to back, it's basically a wind tunnel. A bunch of options with this one.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Relatively cheap, works well.
Cons: One time, a few days ago (4 years after purchase) I had my first problem. For no apparent reason the unit continually switched between line and battery power, clicking on and off every few seconds. After maybe 15 seconds of this it just turned off.
The load on this unit never gets over 1 bar (just my PC is connected). I was unable to find any problem with the outlet using appliances or testers, and changing the load didn't do anything unless nothing was plugged in. I think something inside is wearing out. I plugged in a power strip and used that for a day or two, and just now plugged the UPS back in. It's working fine for now, and runs everything on battery just fine. Strange.
Other Thoughts: I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. I own another ~800VA UPS for my networking equipment, in the basement, which has worked well for a year now. I'm planning on buying a third for my media equipment (HTPC).READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill RSV-S8 8-Bay 2.5" & 3.5" Hot-Swappable RAID 0/1/5/10/5+spare/Spanning/JBOD Storage Enclosure System with 120mm cooling fan, Port Multiplier, Tray Design, and Bundled with PCIe RAID Controller Card
Pros: Cheap; I got this as an open box item for like $60.
Cons: Drives spontaneously disappear. Not only (as others have mentioned) when inserting/removing drives, but also during normal usage. Absolutely unacceptable.
Other Thoughts: I've used it as JBOD in Windows an Unix. I ran ZFS on it in Unix and Windows software RAID in Windows. Six 2TB drives. Never buy anything by Rosewill that you don't mind throwing away.READ FULL REVIEW
