Pros: This mobo lives up to it's reputation, easy to install, loaded with features, reliable, and some great software that comes with it. I bought it to use with the new Kaveri but untill I get one I am using an old A8-5500. It works amazing. I haven't set up the home cloud yet but will review that when I have time.
Cons: No sound on VGA or HDMI.
Other Thoughts: The best of the FM2+ lot of boards. You can pay more but not get more.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It works, and when its on sale its cheap ($15.00). The speed is not the fastest but it downloads DVD's from manufactures and iso files from Linux. It writes music CD's an I have two of them one has performed well for a year. I have had many opportunities to boot from the Optical drive and it has worked every time.
Cons: The tray is flimsy so you need to be careful handling it and loading CD's.
Other Thoughts: I don't use it everyday because it is so easy to down load things from the net such as music, movies and programs, so the optical drive is not used heavily so this is great for that usage.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I was worried about the reliability of this drive based on the reviews on New Egg. About 20% of these drives fail out of the box or in the first week. But I got the drive and immediately installed it and formatted the drive using my old windows OS. Then I plugged it into my SATA slot, it came up smoothly and then I installed my new Win7 and dual booted to Ubunto 13.10. No Problems. Fast (for a HDD, Win boots in less than 45 sec) and along with my 3 other HDD drives it gives me plenty of space to store movies, music etc. It takes some work to reinstall all the drivers, updates, and browsers as well as configure them but the drive was flawless. I had to make 20 reboots for the updates and installs so I kept an eye on the drive temperature (Speccy). It was fine. Good so far.
Cons: None so far.READ FULL REVIEW
