This review is from: Swiftech H220 Water Cooler
Pros: It kept my CPU at 27-35 c, I had my CPU at stock speeds. It was quiet. Even playing a FPS like LFD2 on Ultra and having a Netflix movie playing and several web pages open the temps stayed around 50-55c.
Cons: After almost 2 years, the temp alarms would go off intermittently and then the motherboard would not recognize there being a cpu fan at all. I tested the plugs on the motherboard and finally filed a claim with the extended warranty company. I can only assume the wires became faulty inside the pump housing.
Other Thoughts: The unit had a reservoir with a screw-able cap for the purposes of refilling. I am not sure if there are advantages to having a sealed reservoir or a fill-able one.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This is the second one I have purchased and I have to say that so far BenQ has really impressed me with the 27" monitors.
Right out of the box the colors were vivid and bright. The price is so right for these monitors that I got them for around $200/ per monitor with sale & promo that I purchased the 3 year extended warranty for each making it really worth while.
In this price range (per the reviews of the other monitors in this class) BenQ seems to take the cake on value and quality. These monitors are half the price of some of the competition and for the average user I believe BenQ has made a great affordable product.
*See other thoughts.
Other Thoughts: I had researched BenQ a little bit back just before I bought my first 27" monitor in the spring and I was kinda unsure because they were an unknown to me. However, they have up to this point made me very happy I took a chance on an unfamiliar brand.
I have two of these on a dual adjustable monitor mount and I have to say that they look really good. I am not sure if I will buy a third not because of price or quality, but because of room (maybe when I get myself a proper man cave).
*The bezel is like 2+/- inches when putting both side by side and I am not sure if this is a normal amount of bezel but it is fine for me because I just look past it, but the pro user may find this a huge drawback.
This review is from: Rosewill 15.6" Notebook Cooler with Dural 80mm Vertical Adjustable Fans RLCP-11001
Pros: Bought this on an email special (NewEgg rocks the deals) for like a third of the price. I got this for one of my nephews who just got his first laptop and I wanted him to use a cooler. I am told it works well.
Cons: none that I know of
Other Thoughts: I chose this mostly because the price was right but also because it is adjustable in a few ways like moving the fans and extending the side supports. Seemed like a good little cooler. I figure pulling any heat away (even if only a little) from the device and lap is better than not pulling any heat away.
* I am not sure if this cools well enough for the most elite, but it should work well for a 13 year old.
