Klipsch Synergy Sub-10 420W 10
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

5 out of 5 eggs Shake it like a salt shaker 02/12/2013

This review is from: Klipsch Synergy Sub-10 420W 10" Subwoofer Black

Pros: What can I say? this sub hits so low , hard and sounds tight.. tight like dollar tree underwear. My desk now shakes like it's made of rubber. Efficient - measures 12 watts while playing at low volume; 8 while ON and not playing anything, are you kidding me? Even puny Bose subs take more than twenty!

Cons: None.

Pros: What can I say? G-skill beats the crop out of major ram manufacturers. As far as I know, ram is ram, as long as it runs stable and at advertised timings then it's performance will be ditto across all brands. I've stopped buying high rollers like Kingston, Crucial, Mushkin etc.. LONG AGO.

Cons: Really? Why is this a required field?

Other Thoughts: Make sure you DO NOT mix different capacities of ram ( Eg 2gb and 4gb sticks) especially on amd platforms- the speed penalty can be significant on some motherboards.

Pros: Nice card, noticeable difference in fps from my GTX 260. Runs very cool, needs only one PCI-E connector. Smaller form factor than typical cards , lightweight as well..

Cons: Does not detect my monitor's native resolution ! There is no display until Windows Welcome screen is on. I've tried all the ports ( both Dvi and hdmi ) with no luck. I can't change bios settings or even install an OS!!

Even after windows is loaded ( win 7 ) , the max resolution I can get is 1920*1080, not 1920*1200 that my monitor wants. I've done some extensive reading online these two days and there appears to be no fix for this.. Catalyst has NO option to create custom resolutions!!!
No luck with Powerstrip or windows registry hacks either.
My Gtx 260 on the other hand, worked flawlessly at 1920*1200, in both windows and vga mode.
I'm now on a Gtx 465. This one works just fine as well! There really isnt any problem with my monitor or dvi cable!

Other Thoughts: I don't know if this issue is caused by Sapphire or ATI but there really isn't any reason why ATI should not allow users to set their own resolutions!
