This review is from: TRENDnet TE100-S8 Unmanaged Fast Ethernet Switch
Pros: I'm the IT Manager for my small company -- bought several of these for both workbench use and for patching equipment if needed. Some have gone into full-time production and they work great.
Other Thoughts: For the price you can't beat it. Switches are quite basic technology these days so it's safe to "run with the little guys" -- don't pay too much for a simple bit of technology.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Acer P244Wbd Black 24" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ACM 20000:1
Pros: Outstanding monitor -- very crisp detail, fast response time, extremely good graphics with a good graphics card.
Cons: Sometimes the sensor buttons don't react as quickly as a normal button would, but its not really an issue.
Other Thoughts: I am extremely happy with this monitor! I've looked at quite a few and for the price I got it, it was a steal. I'm going to get another one for dual-head.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: PQI DK9320GD3R000A03 2.5" 32GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Pros: I had been on the fence for quite some time when it came to SSDs -- they're usually quite expensive, but the near-indestructability of the SSD cannot be overlooked for laptops.
I was impressed with the speed! Its not an enormous difference, but it is definitely there; Windows and Linux both boot noticeably faster. The speed isn't huge when you transfer a lot of smaller files, but I'd still say it seems faster compared to a standard drive.
Cons: None so far, this drive runs like a champ!
Other Thoughts: I like SSD drives now. Sure they're more expensive than standard drives, but if you use it as a primary drive on your laptop or desktop, it can save you if you would otherwise have to replace one.
That and data can be priceless, too... having a hard drive that can take a fall or beating is worth the price difference. Movies and the like can always be put on an external drive...
