This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Water / Liquid CPU Cooler. 120mm
Pros: -Small form factor
-includes parts for AMD and Intel
Cons: Do not really have any.
Other Thoughts: It installed properly the first time and have had no issues since for about 3 months or so.
Sits very nicely at the back top of my case (NZXT Phantom Full ATX)
Pros: Looks great with my white case
Powers my rig (Max VII Hero, I5 4670k, GTX 770)
All cables are flat except one (see cons)
Cons: 24 pin cable is ugly as sin. multi-colored wires with a black fishnet style sleeve that broke apart during install due to bending. Unacceptable to me. I ended up wrapping the whole thing in black electrical tape and that still looks better than the original cable.
Have had trouble over-clocking my I5, can only hit about 4.2mhz. Yes, I know that not every processor is the same but i have installed the same processor in a friends rig and hit 4.6Mhz without tuning. So i will update once i get my new PSU i just ordered last week.
Other Thoughts: Knocked one egg off for the 24-pin cable and one off due to what i have experienced with this PSU so far.
If you are looking for a simple, fully modular, white PSU that will power a non-overclocked system then this little guy will be your best friend.
So if the reasons i stated for dropping 2 eggs do not apply to you then consider this 5 eggs.
Pros: -Looks amazing in my white NZXT Phantom case.
-Tonnes of features ie 7.1 audio, in-depth BIOS, easy as pie over-clocking and many more
-Well spaced PCI-E slots
-More than enough room for AIO Cooler installs (have H55 on my I5)
Cons: No E-SATA port and price is a little high, But i do not really care about E-SATA and i do not mind paying for such a sexy looking board. So for me this board is 5 Eggs.
Other Thoughts: All in all I absolutely am in love with this ROG board. It is leaps and bounds beyond the Maximum VI Hero IMO.
Oh, also i wanted to mention the M3 port that is on the board. I like the feature they went with instead of E-SATA but i still have not as of yet found a viable item for purchase for the slot. Way to expensive and not enough selection for me to put this to use yet.
