Sandisk Extreme USB 3 flash drive
Pros: By far the fastest USB flash drive available in early 2014 for efficiently moving entire directories of numerous files totaling several GB to/from various computers that cannot be networked. Writing small to medium sized files to this drive via USB3 is over 20x faster than typical USB2 drives. For example, 1 GB of small to medium sized files takes about 10 seconds, versus a typical range of 200 to 1200 seconds for most USB2 drives. It is 5x faster for writing and reading large files. Over USB2, it is 5x faster for writes and 2x faster for reads than USB2 drives.
Cons: Bigger than most and so crowds in vertically stacked USB ports
Failed after 53 days
Pros: This is the largest hard drive available for a Dell 600m. It is very quiet and no hotter than the 60 GB model it replaced.
Cons: It failed after 53 days running 2 to 12 hours per day. The symptoms are similar to those detailed by other reviewers. I could get data off using an external housing but it will not boot on the Dell 600m.
