This review is from: Rosewill RLFL-14001 Cree XPG-R5 LED Search Flashlight (Zoom) Max 450 lumen
Pros: Well constructed and smaller than expected. Amazing for the price. I had not read the description carefully and was surprised that this can be powered by a single AA battery, not the usual 3 x AAA. Moreover, works well so far with a 1.2v AA Eneloop NiMH battery!
Cons: I purchased a 14500 Li-ion battery to try. A 14500 cell is 14mm wide and 50 mm long. Unfortunately, most protected Li-ion batteries of this size are 2-3 mm longer due to the added PCB protection circuit. The protected battery that I purchased was about 52.5mm long, and would not fit. You can buy unprotected Li-cells that will fit, but you should check out the safety issues, and decide for yourself. Of note, the documentation included quotes a significantly longer run time with an AA battery (alkaline?) than with Li-ion.
Other Thoughts: 1 star subtracted for the Li-ion battery issue above.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SPARKLE PCI Series GeForce 8400 GS 700037 512MB PCI Video Card
Pros: its PCI interface, not PCIe. The 8400GS chip is currently supported by Nvidia in Windows 8. It is a bargain for an 8400GS PCI card compared to what remains in the marketplace for this outdated interface. Works well for desktop apps, not using it for gaming.
Cons: its PCI interface, not PCIe.
Other Thoughts: I purchased this to be able to run a 4 monitor system with Windows 8 with the current updated Nvidia drivers. The previous mix of a 8400GS PCIe card and a 6200 PCI card worked with the native Windows 8 drivers, but when Windows update released new NVidia drivers, I lost the function of the 6200 PCI card. It turns out the old 6200 series is no longer supported by Nvidia for Win 8. I could roll back the drivers to restore function, but went instead with spending $50 with getting a second 8400GS PCI card to keep drivers current.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Philips Norelco 6945XL dry electric razor CleanCut Flexing heads
Pros: Comfortable to hold, relatively comfortable and close shave for a dry shave, holds a good charge.
Cons: No trimmer, not for wet shaving
Other Thoughts: I have used Norelco razors for decades, and this was a steal at $30 on sale. It gives a good close shave and is a decent quality product. Just be aware that there is no trimmer with this unit.READ FULL REVIEW
