Pros: Powers an ECS KBN-I/2100 (sold here) motherboard, a HD, and a DVD writer.
I took the guts out of regular power supply and put this in it. The screw holes matched up with this, which was a nice surprise.
Cons: None. I hope the reports of this thing's short lifespan are exaggerated. I bought a cheap power supply at the same time just in case.
Other Thoughts: I have this set up in a mini tower. CPU reports temps of low to mid 50s. (Celsius) This is perfectly reasonable. I hope it stays that way in the summer.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ECS KBN-I/2100 AMD E1-2100 Dual Core processor Mini ITX Motherboard/CPU/VGA Combo
Pros: Excellent HTPC motherboard. I did have trouble with some Linux distros (Debian Wheezy couldn't see the NIC) but upon installing Debian Jessie everything fixed itself.
It doesn't have any trouble playing any video with the proprietary AMD driver but I noticed that mpv was using close to 100% of one of the cores with an h264. It still played the video with no problem but I got vaapi going just in case I run into issues later on. It worked (CPU usage went from 100 to 30) but I turned it off because faces turned blue. :( That's not the MBs fault I don't think. Maybe things will be better once the open-source driver supports the 8210. Or maybe I did something wrong: Linux video is a confusing beast to me. :)
And it can do all this while running sabnzbd, deluged, lighttpd, smbd, nfs and a qemu virtual machine.
Cons: I bought it last month when it cost $10 more BUT I bought a video card at the same time that cost $30 less than it does now so I guess I can't complain.READ FULL REVIEW
