XCLIO GREATPOWER 1200W ATX12V / EPS12V CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Working Flawlessly so far. Powering a MSI 890FX, 2 ATI 4870x2 Video cards, and 7 Hard drvies. I believe the components appear to be able to handle the rating, onlike another brand I had rated at 1000watts. This one its capacitors and Choaks look beefy enough to handle the rated load. I can't say that about many others I considered before purchasing one.

Cons: None so far. I have no complaints about the unit at all.

Other Thoughts: Just as I mentioned above. The parts look up to the rated wattage, adiquate 12 volt rails. My other failed, i believe due to not enough 12v rails or wattage on the sata rails. When I started to overclock, the old one failed. This one is perfect so far.

Pros: So far, No issues Running on a Pci-E x8 LSI Megaraid Controller. I have 4 set up in a raid 5 array. So far, No issues at all that I have experienced. No drops at all so far. Its the Megaraid 8888

Cons: None so far. Using in a hardware raid array, and no drop outs so far. I did have to enable Cached I/O on the controller card to install windows 7, as opposed to Direct i/o ( the default). But these have been running great. Seems very fast.

Other Thoughts: The array seems very fast to me. I have copied over a few hundred gig to the array, and it went very quickly. Fastest Transfer rates I have ever had. I don't have any benchmarks though... sorry. But all in all, very good so far. Possibly the HardWare Raid controller resolving the issues others had in raid arrays?

Scythe SCNJ-2000 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler

3 out of 5 eggs big, questional mounting 05/23/2009

This review is from: Scythe SCNJ-2000 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler

Pros: Size, potential to dissapate alot of heat.

Cons: Size.. Its HUGE! Not alot of clearence for items around it! Its a tough fit. Make sure your using a board with lots of room around it. I would also only recommend this on a board that is lying horizontal. THe retaining clips are NOT up to other coolers.

Other Thoughts: this unit looks like it should be the best out there, and possibly could... with a high volume fan, and a more secure mount. As it is, I was not comfortable with it to used mounted verticle either. I do think though, that if it used a mounting bracket that I had from another cooler, it would probably screw on to the botttom of this unit, and it would make it secure, but I did not bother to try. Perhaps I will on the next cup upgrade.
