Dynatron A13 60mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler for AMD G34 processors, Socket LGA 1974, 2U server solution up to 140 Watts
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Exact Fit. Well constructed. Keeps CPU cooler than the unit it replaced.

Cons: None to note

Other Thoughts: Installed in a 16 core, 64GB, 4.5TB, ESXi server, 2x opteron 6128 2Ghz.

This server currently handles 28 virtual machines 24x7. Average CPU load 35%, Max CPU load 65%. CPU temps with this unit 44-52C

This item replaces a copper base dynatron cooler and lowered the CPU2 temp 4c. Due to the better performance, I am replacing the other copper cooler on CPU1

3 out of 5 eggs Lite Weight 05/06/2010

This review is from: Athena Power RM-SLIDER1U20 20" IPC Rack Mount Slider Rail for 1U

Pros: They Work

Cons: I would not mount 55lbs on these rails. My opinion puts a safe limit more like 40-45.

3 out of 5 eggs Kinda lite weight 05/06/2010

This review is from: Athena Power RM-SLIDER1U26 26" IPC Rack Mount Slider Rail for 1U

Pros: They work.

Cons: Very lite weight units. Specs up to 55lbs. I would be very cautious if I were mounting anywhere near that weight if it was to be left extended for any length of time. Based on stability with a 35lb 2u case, I would call 40-45 lbs a safe max load.

Other Thoughts: They are lite weight, non-bearing units. With the correct load range of around 35 lbs they are not too bad. I would not trust them with anything much heavier.
