Pros: Lots of ports, has power cable, worked (except with one device) for awhile (2 months).
Cons: The plugs are a little tight, but this is better than too loose. This hub never worked well with my external DVD writer - often the drive would not be recognized by Windows, and frequently it would slow my boot times by around 2 minutes, but usually I could move the drive to a different plug on this hub and it would eventually work.
But after 2 months, the hub is no longer recognized by windows at all; it is now a large paperweight.
Other Thoughts: I'm not sure if this is poor design, or if I just have a bad device. It is more frustrating for me when the breakdown is delayed versus out of the box. (Of course, no breakdown at all is much preferred.)READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Nippon Labs Black 10 ft. USB cable A/male to B/male 10ft Model USB-10-AB-BK 10 feet
Pros: None, really
Cons: Didn't work. Windows started the new device routine when plugged in, but never recognized any device. Had to RMA this one - what a pain!
Other Thoughts: RMA received by newegg on Tuesday, still not authorized on Friday. Of course, I am still waiting for the replacement. THis kind of defeats newegg's usual reputation for rapid shipment.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Logitech MK120 Wired USB Keyboard and Mouse - Black
Pros: This is a great price for a USB keyboard/mouse combo. The keys have better tactile feedback than the many chicklet keyboards out there. This is a full size standard layout. That being said, the foot print is no larger than necessary, i.e. there is no wristguard. I have had fewer problems with the Logitech brand than with other brands of keyboards in the past.
Cons: Although the tactile feedback of the keys is much better than that of many keyboards available now, the keys still feel a bit too mushy for me. In comparison to the SIIG JK-US0312 (compact layout) and the LITE-ON SK-1788 keyboards, the Logitech has the least feedback. It would be even better if this were wireless, but that may be a bit too much to expect at this price.
Other Thoughts: I am a touch typist, so the keyboard size, layout and tactile feedback are very important to me. I am frustrated by the lack of feedback of many other keyboards which sometimes don't register double letters. This is an excellent keyboard for the price with a name brand. But personally, I prefer the feel of the LITE-ON keyboard at this price or the SIIG keyboard if you prefer a compact layout.READ FULL REVIEW
