Overall solid USB 3.0 memory card reader

ORICO USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Multi-Card Reader for SD/SDHC/SDXC/MS/CF/TF Cards
ORICO USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Multi-Card Reader for SD/SDHC/SDXC/MS/CF/TF Cards

Pros: 1) Excellent file transfer speed, a nice boost over my older internal USB 2.0. 2) Body & face is made of brushed aluminum. Matches my black brushed aluminum case quite nicely. Don't usually see this kind of finish with internal readers, particularly at this price point. 3) Internal USB 3.0 motherboard connection header. 4) Able to run 64 gig thumb drives with the USB 3.0 port. My older USB 2.0 reader could not power anything larger than a 16gig thumb drives (2.0 or 3.0). 5) No obnoxious LED.

Cons: 1) Memory cards are inserted upside down (pins facing up). Pictures of reader are deceptive as they show memory cards being inserted normally (pins facing down). A minor annoyance, but one I can live with at this price point. Deducted one egg for deceptive picture.

Poor Design Layout

ASUS M4A78-E AM3/AM2+ AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M4A78-E AM3/AM2+ AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Well made motherboard, timely bios support updates from Asus.

Cons: WARNING: This motherboard places the master (16x) PCI-E slot in the middle of the board, as opposed to the industry normal (top first slot). The top (Secondary) PCI-E slot is a hard locked (8x) speed. Using the Master PCI-E slot given it's location on the board creates a few problems..... 1. When used, it obstructs one of the two available pci slots. 2. If you own one of the larger video cards (ie 4850 X2) using the master pci-e slot will only leave a few millimeters space between it and the 2nd usable pci slot card. Higher temps and potential video card overheating are concerns, especially if your card does not vent outside your case. 3. The final design problem stemming for the Master PCI-E location, is when occupied with a normal to large size video card this leaves virtually no room to access the SATA ports along the bottom of the motherboard with the video card installed. The SATA cables come very close to the cooling fan blades found on your typical video card

Overall Review: Im returning the M4A78-E for another motherboard that does not suffer from this unusual board design.

Top Tier Power Supply from one of the best PSU manfactures in the market

Super Flower Leadex VII XG 1300W 80+ Gold, Cybenetics Platinum, Full Modular, ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0, W/12VHPWR Cable (2x8pin - 16pin native cables) , Power Supply, FDB Fan, SF-1300F14XG, Black version
Super Flower Leadex VII XG 1300W 80+ Gold, Cybenetics Platinum, Full Modular, ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0, W/12VHPWR Cable (2x8pin - 16pin native cables) , Power Supply, FDB Fan, SF-1300F14XG, Black version

Pros: Fantastic top tier power supply from one of the best (albeit often slept on / overlooked) power supplies manufactures in the game. The Leadex VII 1300w got very high marks after extensive granular level testing by HWBusters. Check out HWBusters review on the Leadex VII for yourself. For many years, Super Flower has sold as re-stamped top tier EVGA (and other notable companies) power supplies, but now out of contract now with EVGA Super Flower has decided to market directly to the USA. Do not mistake Super Flower with the dozens of off-brand Chinese power supplies found on Newegg. Super Flower are top tier Taiwan manufactured that trade blows with top spec quality kings like Seasonic (but at an attractive lower price). Customer service is responsive (through Newegg marketplace messenger) taking less than 1 business day to reply. 10yr warranty (RMA handled through Newegg as I understand it) so buy with confidence. The Leadex VII 1300w has been quiet and stable out of the box. Running a 5800X3D & power hungry Sapphire 7900 XTX Vapor in a no compromise top spec rig with all the extra's. Zero issues. 1300w + ATX 3.0 certified insures it will grow / suit my needs for many years & upgrades to come.

Cons: At this price point and tier of PSU, Its a shame a cable bag is not included. A small nit pick, but worth mentioning.

Overall Review: Highly recommend!!

Feature rich Router that does not give an inch vs rival offerings

TP-LINK TL-WDR4300 Dual Band Wireless N750 Router, Gigabit, 2.4GHz 300Mbps+5GHz 450Mbps, 2 USB port, IP QoS, Wireless On/Off Switch
TP-LINK TL-WDR4300 Dual Band Wireless N750 Router, Gigabit, 2.4GHz 300Mbps+5GHz 450Mbps, 2 USB port, IP QoS, Wireless On/Off Switch

Pros: I'm a power user and virtually have 24/7 activity on my Routers. Upgraded to the TL-WDR4300 from older TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND (great router) which served me faithfully for 2yrs. I'm surprised to see so many people having issues, as my TL-WRD4300 has been rock solid since the day I bought it (48 hours after Newegg first listed it for sale, zero reviews at the time). Saw a consistent 12-15ms ping reduction over my older 1043ND. Strong signal on all 3 floors of my home. Wireless never goes down or disconnects devices. GUI though plain looking, is very well laid out and user friendly. DD-WRT supported, though I have stuck with the factory firmware as it has served me well. Ethernet: Desktop, Dell 1600N Printer, Dell 5100CN Printer Wireless: Laptop, Popcorn Hour C200, Panasonic BDT220 BluRay, Wii

Cons: Disappointed TP-LINK shifted from the 5yr warranty it use to offer down to 2yr :(

Overall Review: Just TRY and find another router that offers as much as the TL-WRD4300 in the sub $100 price range.

Directly competes with Routers twice the price!

TP-Link TL-WR1043N 450 Mbps Wireless N Gigabit Router
TP-Link TL-WR1043N 450 Mbps Wireless N Gigabit Router

Pros: I was a bit hesitant to try this router as I have always stuck with the big names when it came to my networking gear purchases. I opted for this router as it's features, alternative firmware support (DD-WRT, Open-WRT), and warranty are unrivaled at it's modest $70 price point. Setup menu is laid out well and your everyday non tech industry person will appreciate the detailed documentation of what each setting does built right into the router menu. No need to reference a paperback manual. Range, connection strength, and speed are all excellent. Overall the TL-WR1043ND exceeds my expectations for a $70 router directly competing with routers twice the price. I would not hesitate to buy another one.

Cons: TP-Link is a relative newcomer in the router market and does not (yet) have a well established reputation of good product support (firmware updates, tech support, warranty service, etc).

Overall Review: If you decide to use alternative (non factory) firmware be advised if you brick your router in the flashing process, the warranty will not cover this.

ASUS Laptop A7 Series AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-58 2GB Memory 160GB HDD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 17.0" Windows Vista Home Premium A7K-X2
ASUS Laptop A7 Series AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-58 2GB Memory 160GB HDD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 17.0" Windows Vista Home Premium A7K-X2

Pros: You will be hard pressed to find a new laptop that offers more than this one does in the sub $1000 laptop market. Very solid build, fantastic warranty, above average tech support. Overall very satisfied.

Cons: I purchased a 4gig upgrade kit and the bios does not properly recognize all 4gigs of memory (only 3 gigs). Asus is aware of the problem and I was told a bios update would be issued very soon. Cpu can be upgraded, but high clock speed Turion X2 cpu's are hard to find. Wish it would have come with XP, Vista blows. Refuse to use an O.S. that "FORCES" me to accept data harvesting my activity (20+ ways) and sends it back to Microsoft! Google it and see for yourself. No "official" driver support for Windows XP Pro x64, found nearly all the drivers I need but dont think the webcam has them. If anyone runs across them, please let me know!

Overall Review: A few people have complained about not getting 2 gigs of memory or a slower cpu than advertised. Call Asus tech support and they will send you a new laptop (on their dime) and make it right. My brother in-law bought this laptop, the wireless nic was bad in it out of the box, Asus was out of stock on this model and upgraded him to a G2 (about a $400 upgrade)!
