COOLMAX CL-700B 700W ATX 12V v2.2 Compatible with Core i3/i5/i7 Power Supply
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: This thing is unstoppable. It provides good clean power and powers all my components without issue and has since the day I bought it 4 years and 2 months ago.

Cons: Only con is that it isn't modular, but its not worth knocking an egg of as I knew that when I bought it.

Other Thoughts: This thing powers my AMD FX-8350 8 core CPU, an SSD, a 2TB 7200 RPM HDD, and my PNY GTX-760 OC without breaking a sweat. You may run into problems if you try to SLI but for a single card setup you can't beat this thing. It has even survived a power surge at my house that completely fried several other electronics including another PC. This thing took the hit and kept on going. It still works as solid as the day I bought it 4 years and 2 months ago.

5 out of 5 eggs Great Fan 04/04/2014

This review is from: BitFenix Spectre All White 120mm Case Fan

Pros: Great fan. For me the biggest pro is that it perfectly matches my BitFenix Shinobi Window case (also white). I have about 3 of these hooked up now and they get the job done. They run quiet with no rattling or extra noise. Even when the fans spin up they move quite a bit of air with minimal noise.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have 4 fans hooked up to two PWM headers with splitters and 3 of them are this fan. They all run perfectly smooth all the time. I'm sure there are quieter fans out there but for the money these are a solid bet.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

5 out of 5 eggs Awesome Cooler for the Money 03/28/2014

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: This is a great cooler for the money. I have an AMD FX-8350 stock clocked at just a hair over 4GHz. With the stock cooler I was idling at about 54C and hitting upwards of mid 70's under load. Now I idle at about 34C and my max temp is only 45C!! Thats almost 10 degrees C than my old idle temps. Aside from the temps dropping considerably, the noise level did too. I barely notice it with my case sitting right next to me, even under full load.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you are wondering about this cooler just buy it. I was reading reviews and decided that anything could be better than my stock cooler. After having it for only a day I can say that I would recommend this cooler not only to replace a stock one, but for anyone that needs some performance cooling and likes a quiet case.
