This review is from: EVGA 100-U3-UV39-KR UV Plus+ 39
Pros: After having another brand/model USB display adapter blue screen and bork my OS I tried this model after reading good reviews on stability. This thing delivers...rock solid stable. I see no lag of any type with mouse movements or even video running @ 1920x1200 (havent tried gaming). It works well on all kinds of monitors (other than the one I describe below). Have not tested via HDMI.
Cons: Won't run 2048x1152 on my Yamakasi Catleap Q270 which I can run 2560x1440 with my PC graphics card.
Not sure if that's a driver issue or what, but when I try to run that res my monitor says "Not optimal resolution - recommended resolution is 1440x900" which makes no sense to me.
Tried messing with settings via the windows graphics properties manager as well as the DisplayLink manager but no difference. Maybe this will work on other high-res monitors like a Dell or HP at that resolution, but I wouldnt buy this if you're planning to try it on a no-name high-res monitor like mine.
Other Thoughts: Running this on a Dell E5430 via docking station USB 3.0READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Vonnic C503W 480 TV Lines MAX Resolution Outdoor Night Vision Dome Camera - White
Pros: For the price this is a very nice camera. Its not the easiest dome camera in terms of installation, but the picture quality is great for the money. It works very well at night, I can see movement 75 feet away and once a person gets within 30 ft you can make out their face. Its actually a very solid metal housing.
Cons: Theres definitely a sweet spot with the IR illumination, or should I say sour spot. In the direct center of the image at about 10-15 ft away the IR is actually too bright and can bounce off a persons face making it too bright to distinguish. Not sure if theres any way to work around this problem with a self-illuminated camera. Not the easiest to aim, but once you get it where you want it it doesnt move. The only other con is its not vandal proof. No security screws to hold the twisting lid on so if somebody wanted to they could just unscrew the lid and steal/break the camera.
Other Thoughts: If you're putting together a budget system, this is overall an excellent camera to go with.READ FULL REVIEW
