Verbatim Ergo Mouse 97592 Red 1 x Wheel USB 2.0 RF Wireless Optical Mouse
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Looks cool

Cons: Defective

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately, the mouse got ultra hot as soon as I threw the batteries in it. Cooked itself to death. For the cost of return shipping and the time to package and take to UPS store, I'm going to just write it off. Oh well.

3 out of 5 eggs What the heck is Win 8? 05/08/2013

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 8 64-bit (Full Version)

Pros: Runs well
Looks cool

Cons: Dramatically different from XP, Win 7, Vista

Other Thoughts: Man! Microsoft certainly made an impact with this new desktop. If we tried migrating our office to Win 8 we'd have a riot on our hands. Moving between screens, apps, programs, closing programs, using Control Panel, etc, etc- it's all dramatically different and will take a lot of getting used to. I don't think "efficiency in movement" is reflected in the new OS, but I'm slowly memorizing the new "taps and clicks".

MSI Z77A-GD55 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Boots fine
GUI is good
Works well with SSD and HD together

Cons: Winki 3 partially functional

Other Thoughts: Running Win 8 and an SSD with MB in a fresh build. So far, so good, but I haven't stressed the board with any gaming to date. Winki 3 is a little gimmicky, but if it worked, you could almost get by with it for simple tasks. Keyboard functionality was sporatic with Winki 3. For example, I could could clear the default SSID on the setup screen but I couldn't type in the correct SSID for my home network. For file searches, the keyboard did work. Just funky little stuff with Winki that marks my initial impression down a little.
