Most Critical Review

dual monitor

ASUS GeForce GT 440 (Fermi) 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card ENGT440/DI/1GD5
ASUS GeForce GT 440 (Fermi) 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card ENGT440/DI/1GD5

Pros: decent performance and flexibility without extra power wires.

Cons: absolutely useless tech support - you are on your own here.

Overall Review: renig of my prior review. Despite two tech support representatives assuring me that you could not run the DVI and HDMI port at the same time, I went ahead and tried it - it works just fine.

buffalo not what it used to be

BUFFALO WZR-600DHP2 AirStation N600 HighPower Wi-Fi Simultaneous Dual Band Router IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n
BUFFALO WZR-600DHP2 AirStation N600 HighPower Wi-Fi Simultaneous Dual Band Router IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n

Pros: Decent signal strength but questionable signal to noise

Cons: No Firmware download available Buffalo customer service has gone down the tubes

Overall Review: This is the latest from buffalo, but so new they don't even have the firmware available on the website. No problem right? Tech support should be able to hook you up - WRONG. Tech support by email and phone are not even familiar with this device yet and think it is still international only (US drivers completely different btw). It will run DD WRT, but word of caution, you can't currently get the native firmware (Buffalo no longer using DD WRT) back on the unit because there is no where to download it. Signal is okay, but signal to noise ratio not nearly as good as my old 54G unit. Also, no antenna hookup on this.

Pros: not too terribly loud.

Cons: Died after 2months use. DOA is one thing, but real bummer when your drive dies a few months in. Can't even use it as an excuse to update things when it happens that early on. Just a pain trying to get back to where you started. Used multiple deskstars when they were IBM drives and never had a problem.

Overall Review: I've got an RMA pending, but will sell the replacement drive. I'm going to try a Western Dig.
