This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H80i High Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 120mm
Pros: It worked great for 11 months on my 3930k. It kept temps cool around 40c with overclock. I never had an issue with it and really liked it until now...
Cons: After 11 months of normal use with occasional gaming It let go. My computer shut off after making a weird colored screen. I opened my case to see what could be up after restarting the PC and trying the usual. Once opened I noticed a coolant mark on my 580 and found it was dripping from my hose connected to the pump. I also noticed the rubber fitting that connected the hose to the pump and cpu had slight cracking like old rubber would do, maybe dry rot. I tried my video card in another pc after cleaning it and letting it dry but it wont work. So im assuming the H80i is under warranty still but will the cover my 580 too since it was their faulty product that did this? Im pretty mad atm... Waiting on ticket responces...
Other Thoughts: I would have gave it 5 stars if it didn't die on me because other than this it was a good product. But do I have a faulty h80i or does it not last long. Who would know... So I cant really rate this product..READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I have had this set running on a x58 with i7 920 for 3 years now. Never once has this ram given me even one problem. The apearence of the chips look well designed and flashy. Also you get a nice case badge with it "or least i did a while back". I paid $180 back in 08' and im glad to see price has come down quite a bit. Awsome brand awsome chips!!!
Cons: On some motherboards you need to manualy set the frequency such as my computer. Apon a fresh build it was detected at 1066. However i do not think it was detected at that but rather matched to my QPI frequency, nevertheless manualy set never had a issue. I deducted 1 egg because i cannot get this ram to run stable at OC settings "1600 with cas 9 9 9 24" Its my belief that all componants should have headroom for OC.
Other Thoughts: If the eggs worked in fractions i would have given it a 4.8. Who knows if it wont OC because of something im doing or that it just cant. Doesnt seem fair to deduct a whole egg so that is my resoning for 4.8eggs. Gskill kisks @ $ $ and cant wait to try the sniper series...READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill Xtreme Series RX950-S-B 950W Continuous @40°C ,80 PLUS Certified, ATX12V v2.2 & EPS12V v2.91, SLI Ready CrossFire Ready, Active PFC "Compatible with Core i7, i5" Power Supply
Pros: Looks Great
A lot of wattage
Plenty of Cables
Cons: Not Modular
No fan speed settings
No LED settings
Did not last long enough for what i paid
Other Thoughts: I purchased this PSU from newegg on Oct. 2007. I paid $220 for this back then.It worked very well for a while. After about a year my PC started to reset on its own. Before i decided to blame the psu i checked all other options. I thought i had fixed the issue and i had no problems for about another 6 months. The resets started happening again. Once again it went away. About a month ago the random resets started to happen a lot more. This time it would reset many times in a row and then last for a few days no problems then act up again. I tried everything possible to make sure it was the PSU and not something else. Sadly i tried a alternitibe PSU i have " a 550w" and the issue was discovered. The 950 had gone bad. Rosewill would not replace it because it was past the 3 year mark. I guess there is a reason they have 3 year warenties and not 4 year.READ FULL REVIEW
