MSI X99S Gaming 7 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: less than 1 day

Pros: This one works. Quad Memory now. So I take it this batch of boards are rushed out with issues.

Cons: Well it seems that boards really are faulty. And then some are not. Most people are likely to run dual channel till prices fall. Then people are going to have to RMA boards to have them repaired or replaced. I feel pretty bad for them.

Other Thoughts: Buy the lowest costing ram from crucial had heat sinks and overclock it to 2400 :) not bad price.

1 out of 5 eggs Motherboard arrived with fault 09/12/2014

This review is from: MSI X99S Gaming 7 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: What positives can I have for a faulty board I put 20hrs into finally getting it to boot.

Cons: Bank D when it has a module in it causes the pc to not boot and to stick at 67 on the debug screen. Now I must go through the painful process of returning an item and ordering and rebuilding and re activating windows 8 :(

Other Thoughts: I am pretty sure that these boards have a QA so how did this get past them?

Razer Tiamat Over Ear 7.1 Surround Sound PC Gaming Headset

2 out of 5 eggs I thought EA and ATT had bad CS 08/17/2014

This review is from: Razer Tiamat Over Ear 7.1 Surround Sound PC Gaming Headset

Pros: Great sound when they work. 7.1 works but due to the position of the speakers surround sound gets lost.

Cons: head phone construction is terrible. Solid piece plastic for the head band that connects each ear piece that has a brittle spot because they notched the plastic at a 45 degree angle so its prone to snapping. The wire loom is glued to the housing so should you drop them and the land on the ear piece you cant replace the band. All the headset has to be replaced which leads to another problem.

Other Thoughts: Repair. Razer customer service is terrible. It takes 7-8 days to get beyond the first CS rep to get to the RMA department. then they tell you it will be 4 days for them to read it but sometimes longer.
