This review is from: TRENDnet TV-IP551W 640 x 480 MAX Resolution RJ45 Wireless N Internet Camera
Pros: Cheap, Just O.K. low light, flexible mount
Cons: Poor picture quality, Washed out, Very narrow field of view for a 4mm lens in both the horizontal and vertical directions. Very disappointed with that as the angle of view is basically useless to me unless the camera is mounted a great distance away. Do that and the poor picture quality and graininess results in you guessed it.... Admin security horrible. Why can't I change the user...Simple firmware update should fix that but you'll never see another update for this cam. The MOST aggravating issue is with WiFi. Using it results in blues horizontal lines flickering at night. They are barely visible during the day but in low light or at night Wifi results in lines...Period. I had to send the first camera back because of this. Cost me alot to ship back and it really did not make sense but I was convinced by TrendNet's first and second tier support to return it. The second camera did exactly the same thing. I finally figured out that the problem disappears when the camera is connected via Ethernet. Another issue I find very annoying is it only emails one picture ( if it even is able to detect motion which in most cases does not), freezes the camera if there is excessive motion and I'm still uncertain why that occurs.
Other Thoughts: Save your money and by something else (and from a different company). There are so many better cameras out there at this price point. This was a total waste of money and time.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: None at this point. Oh did I mention I did not loose data because it's a Cache and not a SSD storage drive.
Cons: Everything including the service
Other Thoughts: So Allen, Why is it you responded way before I received the replacement. Here it is 7/21/14 and I'm still waiting foir the replacement. How can you responed that I have already received it.
Also, just to get things straight, I have a True SSD from Sandisk that failed AND this cache. SO the MULTIPLE failures where different types of Sandisk drives. Not the same drive twice.
Pros: Small, cheap and it's a Sandisk Right? Did not loose data when it FAILED.
Cons: Failed in under 45 days of use. BSOD. Bios does not see it. It's DOA. Never really saw much of a performance boost under any of the benchmark tests. Maybe it was bad all along.....and really did not do any cache. Sandisk doing the RMA dance....
Other Thoughts: This is the second Sandisk SSD that I have had to RMA. Never had issues with Intel or Samsung. I bit disappointed with Sandisk.READ FULL REVIEW
