This review is from: Scythe USA SCVMS-1000 Sleeve VGA Cooler
Pros: Put this on my 9800GTX+ that kept overheating with the stock cooling and now this thing runs very nicely with this heat sink/fan. GPU stays cool on maximum load. Comes with instructions and thermal paste. I'll probably buy another one of these for my 2nd 9800GTX+ in SLI
Cons: Includes thermal paste, has adjustable fan speed controller that fits in a expansion slot on the back of a system. Cools nicely and great for the price. Highly recommend this to anyone having heat issues with a 9800GTX+
Other Thoughts: As mentioned the Glue doesn't stick well so i had to also use some super glue to hold one of the smaller heat sinks onto the card which made me nervous but no issues and its running fine. Also the fan controller is kind of silly to mount it to a expansion back panel slot because it will not fit out the back due to the Knobs on the controller being too big. Instructions are kind of vague but they do the job eventually once you figure out exactly how this works.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Swiftech Quiet Power MCR220-QP Liquid Cooler Radiator
Pros: This thing cools really nicely and fits 2 120mm fans on either side of it. Comes with the hardware to mount the fans and radiator only.
Cons: Does not come with a way to connect your tubes to the radiator or "barbs" So keep in mind you will be going to lowes or home depot to hunt down 1/4 barbs.
Other Thoughts: 1/2 barbs threaded on one side are hard to find i had to compromise with 1/4 inch threaded connectors and just put the tubes over the threads this can cause leaks depending on your clamps, a piece of spare tiubing to give extra cushion does the trickREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ZALMAN CNPS 9500 AM2 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink
Pros: This heatsink and fan combo does a great job of cooling. It's amazing how such a change can drop your temps so easily. I'm using this on a socket AM2/AM2+ board and fits nicely.
Cons: Have to be careful you do not cut yourself on the fins of the heatsink. The thermal paste that comes with this is kind of low quality and is a super small tube.
Other Thoughts: Anyone looking to replace a stock heatsink and dramatically lower your cpu temps should pick this up.READ FULL REVIEW
