Kingston 8GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model SD10V/8GB
  • Verified Owner

Pros: i needed a larger capacity card for an upcoming trip. I don't care about read/write speeds, just something that will last forever, so far this is fitting the bill.

Cons: none?

Linksys WRT54GL 802.11b/g Wireless Broadband Router up to 54 Mbps/ Compatible with Open Source DD-WRT (not pre-load)
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: there is no better router then the WRT54G. This is the 5th one I've purchased, not because the other 4 have died, but because it's the only one I will buy to set up friend's/family's network.
They will outlast all you're other hardware hands down.

Cons: it's not a gigabit switch, it's only wireless b/g
But these are so easy to get around since it's only a 4port switch, you need another switch anyway, and unless you have Google Fiber, 100mbps is more then enough for your connection to the internet.

Other Thoughts: put DDWRT on this, never have to reboot your router again.

Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W BX80623I72600K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 3000

  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: 4 cores, with Hyper Threading, gives 8 threads. That's just awesome.
Easy to overclock, cool.
Overclocked to 4.4ghz.

Able to convert HD TV in realtime, super upgrade from my core2 duo.

Cons: not 8 cores with hyper threading.
still pretty expensive.

Other Thoughts: The stock heatsink is a joke.
Why even include it Intel? You could probably knock off $20 if you just removed that think from every K chip.
